Inferiority

Inferiority

Experience which convince me
that I am not as good as the other
And consequently not to belong with them
if not best as they are
It seems a feeling of humiliation
especially if they make fan out of me
Such experience someone controls me
causes pain and delight in my misery
And these are common ‘jokes’
that leads me into my inferiority
However the fear was masked and heed inside
a withdrawal from my humanity

This feeling is not stranger in me
yet this is the cause of running away
Yet the far I am from me
the unprotected and vulnerable me-be
One way is to ‘project’
the feeling I thought of the other people
Another unhealthy way to handle
that I usually do to prejudice my inferiority
And it is clear humiliation
and nothing to do with humility
That is why the result from the acceptance
of my limitation is painful reality

We Pretend We Play With Words

to soothe the choking effects of the day,
and those days that come to us like two walls
while we lay helpless in between, we pretend

we pretend to play with words, like we are simply
children scribbling words on the floor beyond
the ambit of paper

we pretend that this writing is nothing but little games.
we like to be just light feathers floating in the wind
looking at the petal of the flower
trying to choose which patch of grass to land,

we pretend this is just that
doodles, noodles, needles, neddles, doddles,

we pretend that this writing poetry has nothing to do
with what we are: feelings like words in a crossword puzzle

we tinker with meanings, we like to experiment with moods,
like handpainting on the walls and spraying paint
at the fences of our bad neighbors

trying to evade laws, of falling and flying and rising and dropping,
this is just a play of words, do not ask me again if i am in between the
lines if there are tears there, or that laughter and mockery is hidden
underneath the cover of heavy sheets of sentences

we pretend there is nothing to all these.
when we stop, when that right time comes

it will be dark, and we like children all stop playing and shouting
and running and kidding and calling each other names

when we stop it is always dark. The fear is lost. It is time to go.
Home. Where we are united with our loved ones. Where we begin to
speak the truth about us. Where we sleep. Where all the lights are
turned off.

I begin hours of denial.
Why I put myself on trial,

And hear no response.
Why have I allowed my emotions

As if someone will discover them,
And take the time to sit with them awhile!

I smile as I revisit memories.
I am connected until sunrise
When dawn begins to etch and leave shadows!
Upon grass and leaves...
Robins seen and Sparrows!

This darkness on my shoulder rides and whispers.
Influenced and addicted I become.
Succumbed and borrowing moments,
From a youth unchallenged that has gone!
Am I longing to swagger and charm with song?

As night comes...

FROM EPIDERMAL TAXIDERMY TO INTERNAL EPIPHANY

Portrait of fair mind is neither, nor!
neither mastered nor in pieces shred,
displayed to touring tourists - Turrell's bore -
whose dreams no themes of genius hint ahead.
Could paint drip down to mop pain's vail of tears,
unveiling pooled oasis to exchange,
past wraith, fresh faith to grace remaining years,
then fears would fade before excitement strange.
From monochrome to rainbow glow display
“we are such stuff as dreams are made of” shows,
no lifeless stuffing, feathers drooping, fray;
vitality surpasses surface glows
to put to shame greyed taxidermist’s skills
forever fixed in time: true talent spills.

True talent overflows as curiousity
channels potential, recent acquisitions,
to harness latent energy, to free
flame burning to encounter twin shared visions.
Gold courage holds no secrets for fair muse
whose darker shades may by Miss, understood,
misunderstandings sweep away to choose
hues better read, refusing mirage wood.
If one would ink fresh portrait of fair mind
contact’s impact could do it justice true,
where words match deeds indeed, feed surge behind
layered lines to tempt that talent through.
No taxidermist’s trophy, prized possession,
pro-active win/win casts out sin, transgression.

Shared view should sunshine through tune-blended flow
to filter out, to mend, doubt’s daunting pain,
suspend in amber all imbroglio
freeing focus, tender trust sustain.
Bottled up desire too well preserves
formaldehyde-postponed screw-cap allure,
throttles interaction, tires, reserves

Restraints life paints can’t canvas open urge,
anticipate emotions strong, long stored
in hibernation waiting to emerge,
eager for adventures unexplored.
Suspended animation soul-song cheats
