Queen Of The Publication
(j. farrar/t. snow/s. kipner)
Something strange is going on
And youre in the middle
Ill do anything to solve the riddle
Ive got a city editor
Put me on a deadline
If I dont come through
Im on the breadline
Ill invade your privacy
Please dont take it personally
Im oh so sorry
But the readers got a right to know
Youre gonna help the circulation grow
When I get the story right
Ill be queen of the publication
Ive got a hidden camera
A shadow on your tail
And Im tape recording every detail
All the walls have ears tonight
Theyre listening in case you might
Talk in your sleep
Im oh so sorry
But the readers got a right to know
Youre gonna help the circulation grow
When I get the story right
Ill be queen of the publication
In every supermarket checkout line
Theyll be staring at your face
Make you a legend in your own time
Give you triple column space
When I get the story right
Ill be queen
Ill be queen
Ill be queen
I get the story right
Ill be queen of the publication
Im oh so sorry
But the readers got a right to know
Youre gonna help the circulation grow
When I get the story right
Ill be queen
Ill be queen
Ill be queen
Im queen of the publication

Beating Around The Bush: A Foreign Policy
Saddam claimed to be greater
than Hitler and Nebuchadnezzar,
an ancient king of Babylon.
Saddam believed he would
build a Greater Empire than both,
beginning from modern Iraq.
This is the man Mr Bush!
Decided to let continue
to rule during his watch?
In 1979 Iraqi President Saddam Hussein
claimed he was a direct lineal descendant
of Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar II.
Saddam called himself Nebuchadnezzar III
had coins struck showing his likeness
coined with the Babylonian king on these coins.
The two likenesses proved to be! Uncannily similar!
In his memoirs George Herbert Bush
compared Saddam to Adolf Hitler!
Aspirations for Empire! Ambitions!
Ethnic Cleansing! Rule by Dictatorship!
[Chemical weapons, deportations!
Forced disappearances, Secret police!
Targeted assassinations, torture, murders!
Sounds like a resume of Adolf Hitler!
Yes Saddam was another Hitler wanta be! ]

decided to let continue
to rule during his watch? ]

The 'Good' Life
Wake up in the morning to screaming,
Reporters getting into your personal life,
No privacy,
As you walk down the street,
You are followed constantly by people you do not know
No privacy
You break up with your girlfriend, for the fifth time
It’s on the cover of a magazine
No privacy
Every fucking shit we take,
It’s recorded somewhere
No privacy
You die a tragic death at a young age,
People who you have never met attend your funeral
No privacy
This is what we call the “good” life…

Change has come indeed, but it is becoming increasingly difficult
The changes we were looking for
Have indeed come
But with a bigger bang
And bitter challenges like
Economy
Education
Healthcare
Hou sing and what not
Any amount of helping
The industries and others
Seems to be not capable of
Fetching the results
We would like to see
There is no point
Looking for changes outside
Now we need to change within
Oh, fellow countrymen
We need to come together
Share the resources
And that is only way
To combat the challenges
Already existing and
In the making
If you love your country
And if you want that back
On the original track of
Growth, Development and Opportunities
Try to understand this
And put the same into practice
If you visualise your nation
As a mansion
Its strength depends on the
Quality of the bricks
You used in building the same
The bricks of a nation
Are nothing but the families
It is holding
Family is a small organisational system
Comprising blood related individuals
And the quality of the family
Is the bonding between members of the family
And their quality and value systems

Un Fantôme (A Phantom)
I Les Ténèbres
Dans les caveaux d'insondable tristesse
Où le Destin m'a déjà relégué;
Où jamais n'entre un rayon rose et gai;
Où, seul avec la Nuit, maussade hôtesse,
Je suis comme un peintre qu'un Dieu moqueur
Condamne à peindre, hélas! sur les ténèbres;

Through the eyes of a Field Coronet (Epic)
Introduction
In the kaki coloured tent in Umbilo he writes
his life’s story while women, children and babies are dying,
slowly but surely are obliterated, he see how his nation is suffering
while the events are notched into his mind.
Lying even heavier on him is the treason
of some other Afrikaners who for own gain
have delivered him, to imprisonment in this place of hatred
and thoughts go through him to write a book.
Prologue
The Afrikaner nation sprouted
from Dutchmen,
who fought decades without defeat
against the super power Spain
mixed with French Huguenots
who left their homes and belongings,
with the revocation of the Edict of Nantes.
Associate this then with the fact
that these people fought formidable
for seven generations
against every onslaught that they got
from savages en wild animals
becoming marksmen, riding
and taming wild horses
with one bullet per day
to hunt a wild antelope,
who migrated right across the country
over hills in mass protest
and then you have
the most formidable adversary
and then let them fight
in a natural wilderness
where the hunter,
the sniper and horseman excels
and any enemy is at a lost.
Let them then also be patriotic
into their souls,
believe in and read
out of the word of God

Upon What Values and Standards Are My Taxes Being Applied?
Should I apologize to someone staring into my window?
And I am home alone,
Butt naked?
No,
I should not.
I'm the one who should call the cops!
Just on principle on how this started.
But I did not.
That is why I called you and you are here!
Or,
I could have charged a fee like any other event,
People are expected to pay to get such entertainment.
But I did not.
That is why I called you and you are here!
My options did not include turning away,
And minding my business.
Or removing a ladder off a fence.
And put away used binoculars!
I would say that is an invasion of 'my' privacy.
And I'm going to apologize?
Because my nudity causes someone
To jeopardize their own life?
Chancing death for a cheap thrill?
Free?
And at my expense?
I am exposing 'my' flaws...
With no protection at all!
That is why I called you and you are here!
Plus...
There was some risk I took as well.
I could have fell off the dining room table,
In between making those poses.
I thought they were videotaping.
If I had known they were using binoculars...
And none of my activities were captured?
I would not have gone through the trouble.
That made me more angry than anything else.
That's why I demanded your presence in my home!
That is why I called you and you are here!
'I understand that, sir!
But as the Governor of the State of Connecticut,
Calling you local police would have been more immediate.
And far more sufficient.'

Psychological Warfare
This above all remember: they will be very brave men,
And you will be facing them. You must not despise them.
I am, as you know, like all true professional soldiers,
A profoundly religious man: the true soldier has to be.
And I therefore believe the war will be over by Easter Monday.
But I must in fairness state that a number of my brother-officers,
No less religious than I, believe it will hold out till Whitsun.
Others, more on the agnostic side (and I do not contemn them)
Fancy the thing will drag on till August Bank Holiday.
Be that as it may, some time in the very near future,
We are to expect Invasion ... and invasion not from the sea.
Vast numbers of troops will be dropped, probably from above,
Superbly equipped, determined and capable; and this above all,
Remember: they will be very brave men, and chosen as such.
You must not, of course, think I am praising them.
But what I have said is basically fundamental
To all I am about to reveal: the more so, since
Those of you that have not seen service overseas—
Which is the case with all of you, as it happens—this is the first time
You will have confronted them. My remarks are aimed
At preparing you for that.
Everyone, by the way, may smoke,
And be as relaxed as you can, like myself.
I shall wander among you as I talk and note your reactions.
Do not be nervous at this: this is a thing, after all,
We are all in together.
I want you to note in your notebooks, under ten separate headings,
The ten points I have to make, remembering always
That any single one of them may save your life. Is everyone ready?
Very well then.
The term, Psychological Warfare
Comes from the ancient Greek: psycho means character
And logical, of course, you all know. We did not have it
In the last conflict, the fourteen-eighteen affair,
Though I myself was through it from start to finish. (That is point one.)
I was, in fact, captured—or rather, I was taken prisoner—
In the Passchendaele show (a name you will all have heard of)
And in our captivity we had a close opportunity
(We were all pretty decently treated. I myself
Was a brigadier at the time: that is point two)
An opportunity I fancy I was the only one to appreciate
Of observing the psychiatry of our enemy
(The word in those days was always psychology,
A less exact description now largely abandoned). And though the subject

Conflict Syria A Cut Of Pie
now Obama has been elected
waiting for possible planned
NATO invasion interaction
in conflict Syria
deals have been cut
die is pact cast?
sadly with negotiated
Russian deal back off
it looks like NATO is
about to play ball again
a few days or weeks weeks
after Obama reelection?
before estate invasion
green light is given?
just a matter of covert
or tracked
heavily by media?
interested
to see if Kurds
get a slice of Syria
pie or repeat cut
from invasion equation
again like post war Iraq?
Syrian Kurds receiving
military training
from their Iraqi brothers
but beware divide
and conquer is a proven
formula for interventions?
for preparation invasions
Syria's chemical weapons
stockpiles an ominous serious
issue who gets control play?

Court System Problem Oct 22nd 2012
Court-ordered publication bans for no apparent reason,
Is it another Youth Criminal Justice Act silly season?
Have they hidden a name or allowed a repeat offender to walk?
If the public knew, would they show their disapproval and squawk?
Or have we gone politically correct and over to their side?
Or has justice gone like Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde?
Or is this just another secret name that the system will keep?
Could we, as a nation, have turned into a flock of sheep?
This is supposed to be a democracy - not a secret shop,
Where too frequent publication bans seem to be nonstop,
Every word spoken in court should known in the community,
Otherwise certain criminals and their friends may have immunity.

Delete Youth Criminal Justice Act Oct 24th,2012
Delete Youth Criminal Justice Act Oct 24th,2012
By
James Bredin
We can't publish the young criminal's name despite his many crimes,
Can't change the Youth Criminal Justice Act, no matter how many times,
As they announce more publication bans for politically correct,
Add that to no-death-with-dignity, no matter whom we elect.
Then add that to a court system that moves at a snail's pace,
More time for criminals awaiting trial - another slap in our face,
And lawyers claiming Charter Rights for every Tom, Dick and Harry,
We are our own worst enemy and it's more than we should carry.
Therefore the Youth Criminal Justice Act should now be scrapped,
Not fiddled with or amended as more criminals and lawyers laugh,
With compulsory sentences, bigger jails and faster courts,
No more publication bans from politically-correct sorts.

I Don't Think I Will Ever Learn To Be Humble
I don't think I will ever learn to be humble-
After so many years of rejection,
After so many failed efforts at publication,
After so much self- publication,
And in its wake
So little enthusiasm for my work,
After so much pushing of myself
And so little response to that pushing
After so much trying again and again
Over nearly fifty years,
I still write and attempt to push myself forward,
As if there still will come a vindication
A revelation and total transformation
In the way my work is seen-
It appears I will die then as a wannabe,
Still pushing still dreaming still believing
I should be what clearly I am not-
I will never learn to be humble-
I will carry to the grave
My own exaggerated idea of the worth
Of my work and the value of myself.
I will go down to the grave
The fool of my own dream
A lifelong failure.

Privacy
I do lot of things but need privacy
Not to read too much in between for its legacy
Neither there is no hidden clause or diplomacy
Nor it is not to show any will or supremacy
It is human nature that compels us to hide
Something unusual to retain and not to confide
Wrong act but still in possession to remain
Not letting any one to venture in personal domain
Is it to satisfy personal ego or cheat conscience?
Why some of the acts should bother its presence?
Somewhere we feel it is hurting our prestige
Under the name of privacy we seek refuge
It is good to have something as private and confidential
Only self and no one else to know of its credentials
When time comes for its rightful address
You cry in isolation, curse self and confess
It is big thing to assess self and adopt in life
Certain things to self and not letting even to wife
This gives enough courage to handle the issue
Powerful shot’s in arm by remaining always true
It affords individual to enjoy or go for remorse
There is no tension or play of external force
It is seeking self inner voice and remedy
Life should not be allowed to result in comedy
Life needs full of interaction with zeal
Some of the things we may not perform real
Enter into provocation with shoddy deal
We try desperately to hide and conceal
Privacy is part of single or double individuals
To converse or exchange is merely a ritual
It is an act to find solace in each other
Nothing comes in between for anybody to bother
It has to be respected with complete sense
It is not execution of nefarious act or nonsense
It is precaution not to be invaded at a time
Life seems deserting and …………………..

Live It As It Exists
More than a few are possessive,
Of a privacy they protect...
That, with time, gets for others,
Less accessible...
With no regrets.
Trust is a factor,
And the key to one's peace.
'Some' one knows do not honor this.
And eventually are discovered,
To be the core of disharmony...
Within a friendship that is thought to be,
Closer than it is in reality!
More than a few are possessive,
Of a privacy they protect.
And trust is a factor,
One wishes to keep unsuspected.
And when respect is an issue,
Anyone has to raise?
With those trusted in an inner circle,
That had not before been appraised?
Something about the need for this...
Should not be argued but dealt with quick!
More than a few are possessive,
Of a privacy they protect.
And trust is a factor,
One wishes to keep unsuspected.
With a peace of mind,
One should not have to define...
But live it as it exists.
There is no need for a quarrel,
To begin over it!
One should have what one deserves.
And to live it as it exists.

Prejudice
IN yonder red-brick mansion, tight and square,
Just at the town's commencement, lives the mayor.
Some yards of shining gravel, fenced with box,
Lead to the painted portal--where one knocks :
There, in the left-hand parlour, all in state,
Sit he and she, on either side the grate.
But though their goods and chattels, sound and new,
Bespeak the owners very well to do,
His worship's wig and morning suit betray
Slight indications of an humbler day
That long, low shop, where still the name appears,
Some doors below, they kept for forty years :
And there, with various fortunes, smooth and rough,
They sold tobacco, coffee, tea, and snuff.
There labelled drawers display their spicy row--
Clove, mace, and nutmeg : from the ceiling low
Dangle long twelves and eights , and slender rush,
Mix'd with the varied forms of genus brush ;
Cask, firkin, bag, and barrel, crowd the floor,
And piles of country cheeses guard the door.
The frugal dames came in from far and near,
To buy their ounces and their quarterns here.
Hard was the toil, the profits slow to count,
And yet the mole-hill was at last a mount.
Those petty gains were hoarded day by day,
With little cost, for not a child had they ;
Till, long proceeding on the saving plan,
He found himself a warm, fore-handed man :
And being now arrived at life's decline,
Both he and she, they formed the bold design,
(Although it touched their prudence to the quick)
To turn their savings into stone and brick.
How many an ounce of tea and ounce of snuff,
There must have been consumed to make enough !
At length, with paint and paper, bright and gay,
The box was finished, and they went away.
But when their faces were no longer seen
Amongst the canisters of black and green ,
--Those well-known faces, all the country round--
'Twas said that had they levelled to the ground
The two old walnut trees before the door,
The customers would not have missed them more.
Now, like a pair of parrots in a cage,
They live, and civic honours crown their age :
Thrice, since the Whitsuntide they settled there,
Seven years ago, has he been chosen mayor ;
And now you'd scarcely know they were the same ;
Conscious he struts, of power, and wealth, and fame ;
