Ideals Of The Elite
Ideals of the elite,
Are fleeting.
The pace to reach these heights...
Seem to be rapidly decreasing.
There is now more of a need,
To boost the consciousness
Of all humanity.
And it is no secret,
Corruption allowed has increased.
To sustain the elite and their deceits.
And an awareness of this depleting,
Has to cease.
And a releasing of this greed...
Has come to heal,
A bleeding done...
Too long concealed.

Who Are The Hollow?
Who are the hollow?
I would think those of adopted substance.
You know...
The ones of 'hand-me-down-ideals'.
Whatever appeals to the masses?
Those who are against anything,
They can not understand.
Especially if it requires independent thinking.
And thoughts left unaccompanied in their heads,
Poses a threat?
I would imagine them to be quite upset,
By the flow of communication.
And bewildered as to how that is done!

The World’s Triumphs
So far as I conceive the World’s rebuke
To him address’d who would recast her new,
Not from herself her fame of strength she took,
But from their weakness, who would work her rue.
‘Behold,’ she cries, ‘so many rages lull’d,
So many fiery spirits quite cool’d down:
Look how so many valours, long undull’d,
After short commerce with me, fear my frown.
Thou too, when thou against my crimes wouldst cry,
Let thy foreboded homage check thy tongue.’
The World speaks well: yet might her foe reply
‘Are wills so weak? then let not mine wait long.
Hast thou so rare a poison? let me be
Keener to slay thee, lest thou poison me.

In a World In Which Ideals Are Not Respected
It is difficult being a teenager.
With pimples everywhere,
Showing to exist.
And those hormones racing,
Inside a body with a mind...
Trying to define the meaning,
Of abstinence.
'I'm not suppose to what?
Indulge?
Or engage in self satisfaction?
Of any kind?
You joking...
Right?
I hear that in my ears.
But you tell that to this body of mine! '
So difficult it has to be...
To know of contradictions.
And pretend them not to see.
Or told to be honest with integrity.
And...
Well,
Hardly any of that existing.
At least any known or shown to believe.
Yes...
It is difficult to grow and mature,
In a world in which ideals are not respected.
And dreams seem worthless to keep.
With few adults anywhere proving...
That accountability maintained,
Is connected to one's identity and self esteem.

Open Hearts Are The Soul of The World
Regret not for now the world’s forgetting
In living awe for the sun in setting
Embrace the all, the one, your god.
Seek him in the eyes of the blind.
Find him in the strength of the weak.
Devouring eternity in an instance
Regurgitating – rejuvenating
Breaking the boundaries of tunnel realities
Open hearts are the soul of the world.
I have been as I have seen
The breathing blue beyond the green
The soaring serpent, shining white
The wingless dragon, black as night.
Can you sense within the seasons shifting
The gift of life, all rivers drifting?
The days they wash away the hours
This life of mine, this life of ours
This life is as a mothers kiss
A comfort lost, a frozen bliss.
Impulse - Instinct.
Extinct in this world of plastic smiles.
Come dance with me a while
Come dance a roman mile.
I beg of you
Come dance with me.
Set illusion free.
I beg of you
Come dance with me
Dance divine reality.

Blood Of The Worlds Hands
Sometimes it make me wonder
Sometimes it make me question
Sometimes it make me saddened
Always it makes me angry but...
When you can see it happening
The madness thats all around you
Nobody seems to worry
The world seems so powerless to act...
Its out of control
Blood on the worlds hands
Each day a new toll
Another assassination
The same day a new creation
But what are they coming into
Security of a world that brings...
One day another killing
Somewhere theres someone starving
Another savage raping
Meanwhile theres someone laughing at us
Its out of control
Blood on the worlds hands
Each day it goes on
Brutality and agression
Tomorow another lesson
Expecting another air raid
Praying for a ceasefire...
They say things are getting better
No need to be complacent
Theres chaos across the border
And one day it could be happening to us
Its out of control
Blood on the worlds hands
Its our epitaph
Its out of control
Someone should know
Blood on the worlds hands
Someone should

We Are The People
If youre feeling shut down
May my thoughts be with you
If youre a black man bein beat down
And shoved all around
May my thoughts be with you
If your worlds gettin a little too tough
You know, our thoughts bein with you
Hey, I know, that its crazy out there
And my thoughts are with you
Chorus:
We are the people
And we live forever
We are the people
And our future is written in the wind
On the wind
If you are one of the homeless
May my thoughts be with you
If you are scared and alone
You know, our thoughts are with you
If you are one of the fortunate ones
We all know, its lonely up there
We understand, that nobodys got it
Made
So our thoughts are with you
Chorus:
We are the people
And we live forever
We are the people
And our future is written in the wind
On the wind
You see yourself as a leader
May my thoughts be with you.
If you try to divide and conquer
Well rise up against you
We know, only the strong will survive
But the meek will inherit
So if you got a coat of arms
Oh friend
I suggest, we wear it
Chorus:
We are the people
And we live forever
We are the people
And our future is written in the wind
On the wind

The Worlds On Fire
Theres a couple sunbathing on a freshly mown lawn in england
Its a house with a view and all you see is green and blue for miles
The local vicar has pretended that the church is well attended this morning
As he wanders without purpose to the sunday service he smiles
{oh-ho!} what a beautiful morning
{oh-ho!} what a beautiful day
{oh-ho!} what a sickening feeling
It took this long to make it, now were throwing it away
Now, I was told not to play with fire
I said, look out church the flames grow higher
I said, watch those flames lick that spire
I said, look our church the falmes grow higher
{the worlds on fire}
Theres a curtain closed early in an upstairs room in england
Theres a couple misbehabving when they shouldve been praising sunday
And theres a bounce in a walk and the neighbours stop to talk for hours
And when eyebrows are raised at the next song of praise come monday
{oh-ho!} what a beautiful morning
{oh-ho!} what a beautiful day
{oh-ho!} what a sickening feeling
It took this long to make it, now were throwing it away
Now, I was told not to play with fire
I said, look out church the flames grow higher
I said, watch those flames lick that spire
I said, look our church the falmes grow higher

The Old And The New Masters
About suffering, about adoration, the old masters
Disagree. When someone suffers, no one else eats
Or walks or opens the window--no one breathes
As the sufferers watch the sufferer.
In St. Sebastian Mourned by St. Irene
The flame of one torch is the only light.
All the eyes except the maidservant's (she weeps
And covers them with a cloth) are fixed on the shaft
Set in his chest like a column; St. Irene's
Hands are spread in the gesture of the Madonna,
Revealing, accepting, what she does not understand.
Her hands say: "Lo! Behold!"
Beside her a monk's hooded head is bowed, his hands
Are put together in the work of mourning.
It is as if they were still looking at the lance
Piercing the side of Christ, nailed on his cross.
The same nails pierce all their hands and feet, the same
Thin blood, mixed with water, trickles from their sides.
The taste of vinegar is on every tongue
That gasps, "My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?"
They watch, they are, the one thing in the world.
So, earlier, everything is pointed
In van der Goes' Nativity, toward the naked
Shining baby, like the needle of a compass.
The different orders and sizes of the world:
The angels like Little People, perched in the rafters
Or hovering in mid-air like hummingbirds;
The shepherds, so big and crude, so plainly adoring;
The medium-sized donor, his little family,
And their big patron saints; the Virgin who kneels
Before her child in worship; the Magi out in the hills
With their camels--they ask directions, and have pointed out
By a man kneeling, the true way; the ox
And the donkey, two heads in the manger
So much greater than a human head, who also adore;
Even the offerings, a sheaf of wheat,
A jar and a glass of flowers, are absolutely still
In natural concentration, as they take their part
In the salvation of the natural world.
The time of the world concentrates
On this one instant: far off in the rocks
You can see Mary and Joseph and their donkey
Coming to Bethlehem; on the grassy hillside
Where their flocks are grazing, the shepherds gesticulate
In wonder at the star; and so many hundreds
Of years in the future, the donor, his wife,
And their children are kneeling, looking: everything
That was or will be in the world is fixed
On its small, helpless, human center.
After a while the masters show the crucifixion
In one corner of the canvas: the men come to see
What is important, see that it is not important.
The new masters paint a subject as they please,
And Veronese is prosecuted by the Inquisition
For the dogs playing at the feet of Christ,
The earth is a planet among galaxies.
Later Christ disappears, the dogs disappear: in abstract
Understanding, without adoration, the last master puts
Colors on canvas, a picture of the universe
In which a bright spot somewhere in the corner
Is the small radioactive planet men called Earth.
