In Your Corner

I hear tell theres big fun tonigh
On the corner of main and dog-meat-bite
Friday midnights would not be right
Without redds hot party and a nasty fight
But Ill be in your corner
Ill be in your corner, if they do
Ill be in your corner
Ill be in your corner, if they do
You cant renege cause its goin be live
Fine women, lots of liquor and stuff for your mind
Now where were goin they dont like your kind
But theyll cool when you tell them youre a friend of mine
cause Ill be in your corner
Ill be in your corner, if they do
Ill be in your corner
Ill be in your corner, if they do
You cant tell your pa and mama
Where were goin til after weve been there
cause that might make their poor heads worry
And worrying can cause grey hair
And one thing just might lead to another
And if theres any trouble theyll blame it on me
I think we just might have two to go
The prettys lookin over here from the middle of the floor
Well make a b-line to hotel la sin
Where youll do the talkin to get us in
And Ill be in your corner
Ill be in your corner, if they do
We shoulda been long gone cause this place is hot
cause in the corner there are two brothers who are undercover cops
If they stop us for questioning mum is the word
cause a question not answered is a answer not heard
And Ill be in your corner
Ill be in your corner, if they do
Ill be in your corner
Ill be in your corner, if they do
You cant tell your pa and mama
Where were goin til after weve been there
cause that might make their poor heads worry
And worrying can cause grey hair
And one thing just might lead to another
And if theres any trouble theyll blame it on me

People from a world corner

The worst poverty in the world
The worst discrimination in the world
While people thinking about Global Warming
Corner people thinking how to survive
Corner people struggling one day by one day
While people living in the rocket age
Corner people walking miles to miles for one day survive
Corner people surprising whenever a plane is flying
While people thinking about living on other planets
Corner people crying to get a four feet square area
Corner people watering their blood for a four feet squares area
While people thinking about homosexual marriage
Corner people giving their lives for saving their children
Corner people growing never ever seeing their parents
While people thinking about which food is the best in the world
Corner people running thousand miles to get a few rice
Corner people dying lack of food and water
While people thinking about legalization of prostitution
Corner people not knowing what is the law
Corner people never seeing decided by a just justice
Corner people are not people!
Corner people are not from this world!
I would wonder............

The Sacrifice Of Victor

What is sacrifice?
(we s... we s... we s... we sacrifice)
Npg in mass attack, sonny, please.
(we sacrifice)
Church if u will, please turn 2 the book of victor (we s, we s)
We like 2 start at the top if u dont mind
(we sacrifice)
(dont say it, preacher)
I was born on a blood stained table
Cord wrapped around my neck
Epilectic til the age of 7
I was sure heaven marked the deck
(we sacrifice)
I know joy lives round the corner
{joy for sale down on the corner} (we sacrifice)
One day Ill visit her Im gonna
{out on my block Im just a loner} (we sacrifice)
When she tell me everything {tell me}
Thats when the angels sing {sacrifice}
Thats when the victory is sho nuff {sho nuff down with the sacrifice}
(we sacrifice)
(help me)
(dont say it, preacher)
Mama held up her baby 4 protection
From a man with a strap in his hand
Ask the victor bout pain and rejection
U think he dont when he do understand
(we sacrifice)
I know joy lives round the corner
{joy for sale down on the corner} (we sacrifice)
One day Ill visit her Im gonna
{out on my block Im just a loner} (we sacrifice)
When she tell me everything {tell me}
Thats when the angels sing {sacrifice}
Thats when the victory is sho nuff {sho nuff down with the sacrifice}
(we sacrifice)
(help me)
{s.a.c.r.i.f.i.c.e}
(we-we-we sacrifice)
(dont say it preacher)
(sac-sacrifice)
(we-we-we sacrifice)
(we-we-we sacrifice)
(sacrifice... if u turn the page)
(dont say it, preacher)
1967 in a bus marked public schools
Rode me and a group of unsuspecting political tools
Our parents wondered what it was like 2 have another color near
So they put their babies together 2 eliminate the fear
We sacrifice yes we did

Corner Of The Earth

Little darlin dont you see the sun is shining
Just for you, only today
If you hurry you can get a ray on you, come with me, just to play
Like every humming bird and bumblebee
Every sunflower, cloud and every tree
I feel so much a part of this
Natures got me high and its beautiful
Im with this deep eternal universe
From death until rebirth
This corner of the earth is like me in many ways
I can sit for hours here and watch the emerald feathers play
On the face of it Im blessed
When the sunlight comes for free
I know this corner of the earth it smiles at me
So inspired of that theres nothing left to do or say
Think Ill dream, til the stars shine
The wind it whispers and the clouds dont seem to care
And I know inside, that its all mine
Its the chorus of the breakin dawn
The mist that comes before the sun is born
To a hazy afternoon in may
Natures got me high and its so beautiful
Im with this deep eternal universe from death until rebirth
You know that this corner of the earth is like me in many ways
I can sit for hours here and watch the emerald feathers play
On the face of it Im blessed
When the sunlight comes for free
I know this corner of the earth it smiles at me
I know this corner of the earth it smiles at me
I know this corner of the earth it smiles at me
I know this corner of the earth it smiles at me
I know this corner of the earth it smiles at me
This corner of the earth, is like me in many ways
I can sit for hours here and watch the emerald feathers play
On the face of it Im blessed
When the sunlight comes for free
I know this corner of the earth it smiles at me

The Black House On The Corner

I passed by that house everday,
wondering what lurked inside of it,
was their some kind of ancient evil inside,
or a normal family that we never saw,

a house of macarbe,
it was painted black like the devil's sin,
it was surrouned by devilish-looking,
figures that stood outside on the line,
was also surrounded by a black pointed fence,

rumors of the devil himself living there,
the devil in the flesh,
satan living on my street corner,
The black house on the corner,

can't you see it,
you must walk past it everyday to,
dosen't your mind wander,
when you walk by The black house,
don't you to know what lays inside of the house,
maybe a ton of dead bodies under the floor boards,
a madman butcherd up his family,

could that be true,
or are our young minds racing again,
with impure and insane thoughts about,
who or what lives in the black house on the corner,
the black house,
painted with the devil's sin,

We were told to stay away from the black house,
that so many evils lived inside of it,
but us being kids we didn't want to live,
we wanted to see what was inside of the black house on the corner,

But we are to afraid to go forward,
we are to afraid to step through the gate,
and walk up the beaten path to the door bell,
it looks so old and so evil,
The black house on the corner,
we shall never know what evilness,
or what macabre force resides within,

the black house on the corner,
whatever you do,
don't go into the black house on the corner,
stay away from,
the black house on the corner,
it holds so many evils,

White Russian

(fish, steve rothery, mark kelly, pete trewavas, ian mosley)
Where do we go from here?
Where do we go from here, where do we go from here
Where do we go from here, where do we go from here
They boarded up the synagogues uzis on a street corner
You can't take a photograph of uzis on a street corner
The dj resigned today they wouldn't let him have his say
Surface scratched where the needles play, uzis on a street corner
Where do we go from here
Terror in rue de st. denis, murder on the periphery
Someone else in someone else's pocket, christ knows i don't know how to stop it
Poppies at the cenotaph, the cynics can't afford to laugh
I heard in on the telegraph there's uzis on a street corner
Where do we go from here, where do we go from here
The more i see, the more i hear, the more i find fewer answers
I close my mind, i shout it out but you know it's getting harder
To me calm down, to reason out, to come to terms with what it's all about
I'm uptight, can't sleep at night, i can't pretend everything's alright
My ideals, my sanity, they seem to be deserting me
But to stand up and fight i know we have six million reasons
They're burning down the synagogues uzis on a street corner
The heralds of the holocaust uzis on a street corner
The silence never louder than now, how quickly we forgot our vows
This resurrection we can't allow, uzis on a street corner
Where do we go from here, where do we go from here
We buy fresh bagels from the corner store
Where swastikas are spat from aerosols
I sit in the bar sipping iced white russian
Trying to score but nobody's pushing
And everyone looks at everyone's faces
Searching for signs and praying for traces of a conscience in residence
Are we sitting on a barbed wire fence
Racing the clouds home, racing the clouds home
We place our faith in human rights
In the paper wars that tie the red tape tight
I know that i would rather be out of this conspiracy
In the gulags and internment camps frozen faces in nameless ranks
I know that they would rather be standing here beside me
Racing the clouds home, racing the clouds home
You can shut your eyes, you can hide it away it's gonna come back another day
Racing the clouds home, are we racing the clouds home
Racing the clouds home

The Prologue

Chronicle of The House of Maltus

In the corner of history you were there
watching the broken shadow of the air
cast by the light- from the uncertain future
of the recorded fate clothe of horror

In the corner of history- they
people of strange tongue and of ancient way
pale skinned creatures: silent in the day,
at night they with sharp and penetrating eye

In the corner of history- was a sight
the undying old between day and night
-he was un-earthed master of the tomb- the knight
and, -she was, in the womb of the lord's might

In the corner of history- still is
the great ancestors buried to the chest of bliss
lords and ladies- the royal blood of the fathers
warriors and servants- the welcomed guests

In the corner of history- I am
-the last of them, wise and valiant half man
-hundred years and more; I am the to and the from
-their birth, their death in my heart precious so warm

In the corner of history- the face and the name
of the creature cursed by them
man they are all the same
consumed by their malice they named us villain

In the corner of history- I, vanished
left the cruel world created by mans' heart
doomed by their own malice, their hatred
to my own kind- the sons and daughters of god

In the corner of history- I found
at last the heaven for us, above the sand
were memories from the past un-harmed
by the filthy beast: man, and their kind

Note:
Book the first, The Prologue

From the tradition of the “vamperas”- the story of Maltus.
(vamperas- equivalent to vampire; Maltus- character
appeared in the author's dream)

If any of you have been in new york recently youll know that pippin is one of the biggest broadway show throughout today. pippin is the story of emperor charlemaines so

M pippin. and its about his search for fulfillment to find his corner of the sky.
Rivers belong where they can ramble
Eagles belong where they can fly
Ive got to be where my spirit can run free
Gotta find my corner of the sky
Everything has a season
Everything has its time
Show me a reason
And Ill show you a rhyme
Cats been on the window sill
Children fit in snow
Why do I feel I dont fit in
Any place I go
Rivers belong where they can ramble
Eagles belong where they can fly
Ive got to be where my spirit can run free
Gotta find my corner of the sky
Every man has his day dream
Every man has hit goal
People like the way dreams
Have of sticking to the soul
Thunder clouds have their lightning
Nightingales have their soul
Cant you see I want my life
To be something more than long
Rivers belong where they can ramble
Eagles belong where they can fly
Ive got to be where my spirit can run free
Gotta find my corner of the sky
So many men are destined
To settle for something small
Dont you know that I wont rest
Until you know I had it all
So dont ask where Im going
Just listen when Im gone
And far away youll hear me singing
Softly to the dawn
Rivers belong where they can ramble
Eagles belong where they can fly
Ive got to be where my spirit can run free
Gotta find my corner
Gotta find my corner
Gotta find my corner of the sky

Down On The Corner (feat. Lance Diamond)

Early on the evening, just about suppertime
Over by the courthouse, they're startin' to unwind
Poor kids on the corner tryin' to bring you up
Willie picks a tune out and he knows they gonna start
Down on the corner
Out in the street
Willie and the Poor Boys are playin'
Bring a nickel tap your feet
Johnny hits the washboard, people just gotta smile
Robby thumbs a gut-bass and solos for a while
Poor boy brings the rhythm on his kalamazoo
And Willie goes into a dance doubles on kazoo, hey!
Down on the corner
Out in the street
Willie and the Poor Boys are playin'
Bring a nickel tap your feet
Down on the corner
Out in the street
Willie and the Poor Boys are playin'
Bring a nickel tap your feet
Down on the corner
Out in the street
Willie and the Poor Boys are playin'
Bring a nickel tap your feet
You don't need a penny just to hang around
But if you got a nickel won't ya lay your money down
Over on the corner there's a happy noise
People come from all around to watch the magic boy
Down on the corner
Out in the street
Willie and the Poor Boys are playin'
Bring a nickel tap your feet
[fade out

Centre Decentred

Witnesses scrambled
History pages
Committed to truth
Burned
Things left unwritten in the stars
Destined silence
Deeply wombed
Made mute

Centre decentred

Witnesses entangled
Beards of sages
No wisdom proof
Learned
Things unread off the scars
Raged vilence
Sons untombed
Dressed to shoot

Centre decentred

Witnesses gambled
In dice of cages
None to soothe
Earned
Behind brain bars
In a twisted lense
A soldier’s doomed
Lost boot

The Vision of Judgment

I

Saint Peter sat by the celestial gate:
His keys were rusty, and the lock was dull,
So little trouble had been given of late;
Not that the place by any means was full,
But since the Gallic era 'eight-eight'
The devils had ta'en a longer, stronger pull,
And 'a pull altogether,' as they say
At sea — which drew most souls another way.

II

The angels all were singing out of tune,
And hoarse with having little else to do,
Excepting to wind up the sun and moon,
Or curb a runaway young star or two,
Or wild colt of a comet, which too soon
Broke out of bounds o'er th' ethereal blue,
Splitting some planet with its playful tail,
As boats are sometimes by a wanton whale.

III

The guardian seraphs had retired on high,
Finding their charges past all care below;
Terrestrial business fill'd nought in the sky
Save the recording angel's black bureau;
Who found, indeed, the facts to multiply
With such rapidity of vice and woe,
That he had stripp'd off both his wings in quills,
And yet was in arrear of human ills.

IV

His business so augmented of late years,
That he was forced, against his will no doubt,
(Just like those cherubs, earthly ministers,)
For some resource to turn himself about,
And claim the help of his celestial peers,
To aid him ere he should be quite worn out
By the increased demand for his remarks:
Six angels and twelve saints were named his clerks.

V

This was a handsome board — at least for heaven;
And yet they had even then enough to do,
So many conqueror's cars were daily driven,
So many kingdoms fitted up anew;

John Dryden

Absalom and Achitophel

In pious times, e'er Priest-craft did begin,
Before Polygamy was made a sin;
When man, on many, multiply'd his kind,
E'r one to one was, cursedly, confind:
When Nature prompted, and no law deny'd
Promiscuous use of Concubine and Bride;
Then, Israel's monarch, after Heaven's own heart,
His vigorous warmth did, variously, impart
To Wives and Slaves; And, wide as his Command,
Scatter'd his Maker's Image through the Land.
Michal, of Royal blood, the Crown did wear,
A Soyl ungratefull to the Tiller's care;
Not so the rest; for several Mothers bore
To Godlike David, several Sons before.
But since like slaves his bed they did ascend,
No True Succession could their seed attend.
Of all this Numerous Progeny was none
So Beautifull, so brave as Absalon:
Whether, inspir'd by some diviner Lust,
His father got him with a greater Gust;
Or that his Conscious destiny made way
By manly beauty to Imperiall sway.
Early in Foreign fields he won Renown,
With Kings and States ally'd to Israel's Crown
In Peace the thoughts of War he could remove,
And seem'd as he were only born for love.
What e'er he did was done with so much ease,
In him alone, 'twas Natural to please.
His motions all accompanied with grace;
And Paradise was open'd in his face.
With secret Joy, indulgent David view'd
His Youthfull Image in his Son renew'd:
To all his wishes Nothing he deny'd,
And made the Charming Annabel his Bride.
What faults he had (for who from faults is free?)
His Father could not, or he would not see.
Some warm excesses, which the Law forbore,
Were constru'd Youth that purg'd by boyling o'r:
And Amnon's Murther, by a specious Name,
Was call'd a Just Revenge for injur'd Fame.
Thus Prais'd, and Lov'd, the Noble Youth remain'd,
While David, undisturb'd, in Sion raign'd.
But Life can never be sincerely blest:
Heaven punishes the bad, and proves the best.
The Jews, a Headstrong, Moody, Murmuring race,
As ever try'd th' extent and stretch of grace;
God's pamper'd people whom, debauch'd with ease,
No King could govern, nor no God could please;
(Gods they had tri'd of every shape and size
That Gods-smiths could produce, or Priests devise.)

Memories

let me be that poem
that witnesses your
secret yearning as
your glance falls
into that well of
heaven of his

a tightly guarded
glance that lifts
the veil of longings
to let a fruitful
imagination warm
up your nights

let me be that poem
that witnesses you
open yourself up wholly
to your loved one
without the fear of
losing, brushing his hair
counting each strand
as a blessing you have won

let me be the poem
that witnesses the tears
you let loose the years

years of care and love
expressed with deeds
denied in words

each word of
those years of sacrifice
is now a roll of tears
down a floodgate
greeted by his
heartaching silence

each dropp of tears that runs
thicker than the years
swifter than memory
purifying the window of love

Released From Their Craze

Those suffering from their evil addictions,
Will be cured.
In fact,
A massive healing has begun.
And those holding on to their stubbornness...
Will overnight awaken,
With their eyes opened wide...
To become the witnesses of it.

Something out of their control,
Comes to stun and fix.

The spirits of the Universe have already won.
They are showing those who are affixed to conflict...
Their wickedness,
Will soon not exist.
This planet called Earth...
Has grown tired of rifts!

Those suffering from their evil addictions,
Will be cured.
This is beyond diets to keep.
And New Year resolutions made,
To begin exercising or a smoking that is hard to beat...
For those wishing to be brave.
Although they increase the eating of sweets.
Believing that shifting from one thing to another thing saves.

The spirits of the Universe have already won.
They are showing those who are affixed to conflict...
Their wickedness,
Will soon not exist.
This planet called Earth...
Has grown tired of it.

No one with thoughts they are better than others,
Will continue to deceive with the purposes to defeat.
No one with thoughts they will achieve success,
With a manipulation done...
To diminish with restrictions to everyone,
NOT anymore.
And NOT encouraged under over or besides 'this' Sun.

A massive healing has begun.
And those holding on to their stubbornness...
Will overnight awaken,
With their eyes opened wide...
To become the witnesses of it.

The spirits of the Universe have already won.

Death visits in the garden, in the night

The dead man was a six-foot ex-heavyweight,
funding his unpaid youth club work
by working as security in a night-club;
shot for gently warning
a smoker in the garden; no witnesses
have come forward… the dead man’s brother
was a probation officer; now, from despair,
a crime prevention officer…’

Committees meet, look serious, nod…
are the crime figures up or down this year?

but the ones who could enlighten us
just how it is, are the inarticulate…

‘I worshipped my Dad, always so sharp-dressed,
gold watch, rings, bracelet, all that stuff…
but we didn’t see enough of him…
he had several ladies.. he’d appear,
unannounced, every few weeks with
lots of presents for us, stay a night or two,
always on the phones… then he had business
out of town… and there’d be another baby bro or sis…
Mum said Dad said condoms
take the pleasure out of it…
she worked all hours, Mum, to keep us all together..
black women are so strong…

‘You got to carry a blade when young,
just for self-defence, know what I mean?
The first scum that I shot,
I was real scared, man, real scared…
but there weren’t no ‘witnesses’ –
know what I mean? ’

There’s ‘unprovoked attack’, and there’s defence,
and there’s that grim grey nomansland
of ‘respeck’ – where the fierce, bruised ego,
which looks always for status, is
challenged by a single silent glance…

‘Yeah, I got my posse and my patch,
like to dress sharp, gotta lady or two,
want my kids to make something of themselves…
but I got an anger burning inside of me…
life owes me, maan – knowhamean..? ’

The dead man was a six-foot heavyweight,
funding his unpaid youth club work

The Judge – versus – A Judge

THE JUDGE of the Universe called me
to dock and asked on the judgment day
“Justice Joy, to defend yourself
do you have anything to say?
You’re charged with the
crime of denying justice at your hand
To many an innocent accused
when you dispensed justice in the world.
Heart-rending cries of innocent convicts I’ve heard
Acquitted criminals’
trumpeting boasts also I’ve heard.
Despite knowing the truth yourself,
you’ve relied on (false) witnesses,
And sent to gallows many faultless.
Your acts were indeed heinous.
I’ve heard your judgments many
that you pronounced in open court.
Often you treated life and freedom
with no justice of any sort.
Widows’ wails and orphans’ cries
have never ever touched your heart.
Innocence written on victims’ faces,
you always failed to look at.
Succumbed to pressure you
wrote out judgments as ‘bosses’ wanted
To gain ‘their’ pleasure and favors,
several evidences you twisted.

Judge, your traits were bad.
You harbored prejudice and hatred
Your opponents couldn’t ever escape.
Traps you had manipulated.
You never used your knowledge to give
men their life-saving justice.
These are ‘A’ grade crimes,
according to Heaven’s Law of Justice.
Prescribed punishment for these
is ‘Long-term Roasting in Fire’.
State your defense as to why
you shouldn’t be condemned to that fire”.

The dormant lawyer in me woke up
when those ‘allegations’ I heard.
I posed the following questions:
“Who are the complainants? Tell me lord?
What is the evidence? Who are the witnesses?
Who is the advocate on record?

Where There Was Darkness

(nickolas ashford/valerie simpson)
Where there was darkness
You came and now theres
An abundance of light
Nothing but sinkin sand
Suddenly I reach out
Theres your hand
What a feeling it is to know
Youre in my corner
And you wont let me go
And now I know that
I wont be alone no more
Ill give you all I have
And if you teach me
I will learn to give you more
You are my anchor now
And like a ship at sea
Ooh, your love will steady me
What a feeling this is to know
Youre in my corner
And you wont let me go
And now I know that
I wont be alone no more
Im so glad
Just wanna thank you baby
What a feeling this is to know
Youre in my corner
And you wont let me go
What a feeling this is to know
Youre in my corner
And you wont let me go
What a feeling this is to know
Youre in my corner
And you wont let me go
Thank you baby
What a feeling this is to know
Youre in my corner
And you wont let me go

You Just Cant Stop It

Patrick simmons
Whos gonna make you feel just right
When that musics playin
You gotta kick out the doors and turn out the light
When that musics playin
When the thing cuts loose its out-a hand
You know you just cant stop it
Cant sit in your chair, you got to stand
You know you just cant stop it
We can make it, we can shake it in a little while
We can make it
Down to the corner where the nights goin hog wild
We can make it, we can shake it in a little while
We can make it
Down to the corner where the nights goin hog wild
Whole damn place keeps blowin higher, yeah
Guitar man sets the strings on fire
Hey, now its bout time to set things straight
You know you just cant stop it
So now its time to advocate
You know you just cant stop it
We can make it, we can shake it in a little while
We can make it
Down to the corner where the nights goin hog wild
We can make it, we can shake it in a little while
We can make it
Down to the corner where the nights goin hog wild
Whos gonna make you feel just right
When that musics playin
You gotta kick out the doors and turn out the light
When that musics playin
When the thing cuts loose its out-a hand
You know you just cant stop it
Cant sit in your chair, you got to stand
You know you just cant stop it
We can make it, we can shake it in a little while
We can make it
Down to the corner where the nights goin hog wild
We can make it, we can shake it in a little while
We can make it
Down to the corner where the nights goin hog wild
