There are three things which the public will always clamor for, sooner or later: namely, novelty, novelty, novelty.

Sooner Or Later
Im walking down the street I used to walk with them
Rain is falling down on me
Every step I take just leads to another
Now theres nothing in my way
No I dont no what I can say
And you wouldnt listen anyway
Sooner or later, later, later, oh oh oh, gonna find you
Sooner or later, later, gonna get to you
I got the message late last night, thats when it hit me
Though it over and over and over and over again
While I was drowning in the sea of your devotion
But you were miles and miles and miles away
Oh you wouldnt no what things to say
And you wouldnt say them anyway
But sooner or later, later, later, oh oh, gonna find you
Sooner or later, ah ah ah, gonna get to you
Sooner or later, later, later, gonna find you
Sooner or later, ah ah ah, gonna get to you
The sun is shining, making shadows on the wall
But not will soon be comin in
And every where there will be misery, misery, misery
Until I get to you again
Oh I never new you wanted to leave
You never thought about talkin to me
Sooner or later, later, later, oh, oh, gonna find you
Sooner or later, ah ah ah, gonna get to you
Sooner or later, later, later, oh, oh, gonna find you

Sooner Or Later
Written by christine mcvie and eddy quintela.
I thought Id let you go
In my heart and in my mind
And look towards the future
Leaving the past behind
Well maybe its the season
That season of the year
Defying all my reason
I just want you to be here
I want you to be here
Sooner or later
Sooner or later Ill forget
I want you to be here
Sooner or later
Sooner or later Ill forget
And though its not the first time
Ive thought of you this way
The darkness of the winter
Keeps my happiness at bay
Its easy to forget you
In the summer, in the light
With the days of lazy laughter
And sweet, sweet dreams in the night
Sweet dreams in the night
Sooner or later
Sooner or later Ill forget
Sweet dreams in the night
Sooner or later
Sooner or later Ill forget
S all I really mean is
When all is said and all is done
Its all because of you babe
That Im the lucky one
I am the lucky one
Sooner or later
Sooner or later Ill forget
I am the lucky one
Sooner or later
Sooner or later Ill forget
I am the lucky one

Sooner or later Ill forget
I am the lucky one

History Will Teach Us Nothing
If we seek solace in the prisons of the distant past
Security in human systems were told will always always last
Emotions are the sail and blind faith is the mast
Without a breath of real freedom were getting nowhere fast
If God is dead and an actor plays his part
His words of fear will find their way to a place in your heart
Without the voice of reason every faith is its own curse
Without freedom from the past things can only get worse
Sooner or later just like the world first day
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
Sooner or later just like the world first day
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
History will teach us nothing
History will teach us nothing
Our written history is a catalogue of crime
The sordid and the powerful, the architects of time
The mother of invention, the oppression of the mild
The constant fear of scarcity, aggression as its child
Sooner or later
Sooner or later
Sooner or later
Sooner or later
Convince an enemy, convince him that hes wrong
Is to win a bloodless battle where victory is long
A simple act of faith
In reason over might
To blow up his children will only prove him right
History will teach us nothing
Sooner or later the world first day
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
Sooner or later the world first day
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
Sooner or later we learn to throw the past away
History will teach us nothing
History will teach us nothing

Sooner Or Later
Walk on the water
Swim with the life tide
Clear away the storm clouds
Oohh ...
You got to
Roll with the punches
Shelter from the weather
Have no fear of the darkness
Sooner or later oohh ...
Sooner or later oohh ...
We'll be walkin' on air
Live for the moment
'cos life is worth living
Love will surround you
Sooner or later oohh ...
Sooner or later oohh ...
We'll be walkin' on air
We'll be walkin' on air
Love is out there waiting for you
Wearing no disguise
Nothing left behind closed doors
It's right before your eyes
So take a walk in the sunshine
Send a message on your online
Then you can do it in your own time
Sooner or later oohh ...
Sooner or later oohh ...
We'll be walkin' on air
Walkin' on air
We'll be walkin' on air
Walk on the water
Shelter from the weather
Clear away the storm clouds
Sooner or later oohh ...
Sooner or later oohh ...

Where Were You Then?
Sooner or later you and me will be lost dumb blind and free
Sooner or later you and I wont have anywhere to hide
Sooner or later everyone catches up to the things theyve done
Sooner or later everyone will get down as we kick it
Unwind, cut the ties, open wide and wait
Sooner or later things you say catch up and they make you pay
Sooner or later things you do they hurt only me and
Sooner or later everyone catches up to the things theyve done
Sooner or later everyone will get down as we kick it
Unwind, cut the ties, open wide and wait
Oh, where were you then
Oh, where were you then
Honey, sorry hey hey la la
Oh, where were you then
Sooner or later things you say catch up and they make you pay

Public Animal #9
Me and G.B.
We ain't never gonna confess
We cheated at the math test
We carved some dirty words in our desk
Well now it's time for recess
Old man waitin by the monkey bars
Tradin all his ball cards
And they promised him a gold star
And they told him he could go far
Hey Mr. Bluelegs
Where are you takin me?
I'm like a lifer
In the state penitentiary
If I keep my nose clean
I won't get my eyes shined
But I'm proud to be
Public Animal Number Nine
License plates are runnin
Out of my ears
I'd give a month of cigarettes
For just a couple of lousy beers
Or even a bottle of
Real cheap wi-hine
But that's the price you pay to be
Public Animal Number Nine, Number Nine
Hey Mrs. Cranston
Where are you takin me?
I feel like a lifer
In the state penitentiary
She wanted an Einstein
But she got a Frankenstein
Yeah, I'm proud to be
Public Animal Number Niiiirrrrrgh
Public Animal Number Nine
Public Animal Number Nine
Public Animal Number Nine Nine
Public Animal Number Nine Number Nine

Of Public Spirit In Regard To Public Works: An Epistle, To His Royal Highness Frederick Prince of Wa
Great Hope of Britain!-Here the Muse essays
A theme, which, to attempt alone, is praise.
Be Her's a zeal of Public Spirit known!
A princely zeal!-a spirit all your own!
Where never science beam'd a friendly ray,
Where one vast blank neglected Nature lay;
From Public Spirit there, by arts employ'd,
Creation, varying, glads the cheerless void.
Hail arts, where safety, treasure and delight,
On land, on wave, in wond'rous works unite!
Those wond'rous works, O Muse, successive raise,
And point their worth, their dignity and praise!
What tho' no streams, magnificently play'd,
Rise a proud column, fall a grand cascade;
Thro' nether pipes, which nobler use renowns,
Lo! ductile riv'lets visit distant towns!
Now vanish fens, whence vapours rise no more,
Whose agueish influence tainted heav'n before.
The solid isthmus sinks a wat'ry space,
And wonders, in new state, at naval grace.
Where the flood, deep'ning, rolls, or wide extends,
From road to road, yon arch, connective, bends.
Where ports were choak'd where mounds, in vain, arose;
There harbours open, and there breaches close;
To keels, obedient, spreads each liquid plain,
And bulwark moles repel the bost'rous main.
When the sunk sun no homeward sail befriends,
On the rock's brow the light-house kind ascends,
And from the shoaly, o'er the gulfy way,
Points to the pilot's eye the warning ray.
Count still, my Muse (to count what Muse can cease?)
The works of Public Spirit, freedom, peace!
By the mshall plants, in forests, reach the skies;
Then lose their leafy pride, and navies rise:
(Navies, which to invasive foes explain,
Heav'n throws not round us rocks and seas in vain,)
The sail of commerce in each sky aspires,
And property assures what toil acquires.
Who digs the mine or quarry, digs with glee;
No slave!-His option and his gain are free:
Him the same laws the same protection yield,
Who plows the furrow, as who owns the field.

The Destroying Angel
I dreamt a dream the other night
That an Angel appeared to me, clothed in white.
Oh! it was a beautiful sight,
Such as filled my heart with delight.
And in her hand she held a flaming brand,
Which she waved above her head most grand;
And on me she glared with love-beaming eyes,
Then she commanded me from my bed to arise.
And in a sweet voice she said, "You must follow me,
And in a short time you shall see
The destruction of all the public-houses in the city,
Which is, my friend, the God of Heaven's decree."
Then from my bed in fear I arose,
And quickly donned on my clothes;
And when that was done she said, " Follow me
Direct to the High Street, fearlessly."
So with the beautiful Angel away I did go,
And when we arrived at the High Street, Oh! what a show,
I suppose there were about five thousand men there,
All vowing vengeance against the publicans, I do declare.
Then the Angel cried with a solemn voice aloud
To that vast end Godly assembled crowd,
"Gentlemen belonging the fair City of Dundee,
Remember I have been sent here by God to warn ye.
"That by God's decree ye must take up arms and follow me
And wreck all the public-houses in this fair City,
Because God cannot countenance such dens of iniquity.
Therefore, friends of God, come, follow me.
"Because God has said there's no use preaching against strong drink,
Therefore, by taking up arms against it, God does think,
That is the only and the effectual cure
To banish it from the land, He is quite sure.
"Besides, it has been denounced in Dundee for fifty years
By the friends of Temperance, while oft they have shed tears.
Therefore, God thinks there's no use denouncing it any longer,
Because the more that's said against it seemingly it grows stronger."
And while the Angel was thus addressing the people,
The Devil seemed to be standing on the Townhouse Steeple,
Foaming at the mouth with rage, and seemingly much annoyed,
And kicking the Steeple because the public-houses wore going to be destroyed.

Sooner Or Later
Written by orbison/dees
Sooner or later, I knew youd win.
Sooner or later, you would be close to me again.
Sooner or later, I knew I would break down and call.
Sooner or later Id hear your voice and fall in love with you again.
Yeah right or wrong my lonely heart just let you in.
Didnt take long being alone to fall again.
Sooner or later, it had to be.
Sooner or later, you would be close to me.
Sooner or later I knew that Im not over you.
Sooner or later, I knew Id fall back in love with you.
Its up to you
Let me know what to do.
Sooner or later.

Sooner or later its gonna get better
Sooner or later Im gonna get over her
You know I cant go on like this
Its just a matter time
Therell come a day when I will wake up
Without her on my mind
Sooner or later its gonna get better
Sooner or later Im gonna get over her
They say that time will heal everything
So Im winding the clock
And waiting for that glorius moment
When my heartache will stop
She let me go
It took me by surprise
I feel out of place
Without her by my side
Sooner or later its gonna get better

Youll Find Out
(lyrics: thomas flowers)
Even if you turn away
Sweep it all aside
Under the rug
Nothing ventured nothing gained
But your problems still remain
If youre living in denial
Afraid to face yourself
Wasted all the time
When I look into your eyes
I see something inside of you that was once inside of me
And Ive been there before
I nearly lost my wife my friends and more
Youll find out sooner or later
You find out sooner or later
You find out sooner or later
You find out sooner or later
If your lifes become a mess
And put you to the test
Just like all the rest
When I look into your eyes
I see something inside of you
Youll find out sooner or later
You find out sooner or later
You find out sooner or later
You find out sooner or later

IV. Tertium Quid
True, Excellency—as his Highness says,
Though she's not dead yet, she's as good as stretched
Symmetrical beside the other two;
Though he's not judged yet, he's the same as judged,
So do the facts abound and superabound:
And nothing hinders that we lift the case
Out of the shade into the shine, allow
Qualified persons to pronounce at last,
Nay, edge in an authoritative word
Between this rabble's-brabble of dolts and fools
Who make up reasonless unreasoning Rome.
"Now for the Trial!" they roar: "the Trial to test
"The truth, weigh husband and weigh wife alike
"I' the scales of law, make one scale kick the beam!"
Law's a machine from which, to please the mob,
Truth the divinity must needs descend
And clear things at the play's fifth act—aha!
Hammer into their noddles who was who
And what was what. I tell the simpletons
"Could law be competent to such a feat
"'T were done already: what begins next week
"Is end o' the Trial, last link of a chain
"Whereof the first was forged three years ago
"When law addressed herself to set wrong right,
"And proved so slow in taking the first step
"That ever some new grievance,—tort, retort,
"On one or the other side,—o'ertook i' the game,
"Retarded sentence, till this deed of death
"Is thrown in, as it were, last bale to boat
"Crammed to the edge with cargo—or passengers?
"'Trecentos inseris: ohe, jam satis est!
"'Huc appelle!'—passengers, the word must be."
Long since, the boat was loaded to my eyes.
To hear the rabble and brabble, you'd call the case
Fused and confused past human finding out.
One calls the square round, t' other the round square—
And pardonably in that first surprise
O' the blood that fell and splashed the diagram:
But now we've used our eyes to the violent hue
Can't we look through the crimson and trace lines?
It makes a man despair of history,
Eusebius and the established fact—fig's end!
Oh, give the fools their Trial, rattle away
With the leash of lawyers, two on either side—
One barks, one bites,—Masters Arcangeli
And Spreti,—that's the husband's ultimate hope
Against the Fisc and the other kind of Fisc,
Bound to do barking for the wife: bow—wow!
Why, Excellency, we and his Highness here
Would settle the matter as sufficiently

Sooner Or Later
(t. faragher / d. ironstone)
The way you walked in the room
Kindled a fire
And if you went to the moon
You couldnt get higher
Just like a thief in the night
I busted your steer
You turned to put up a fight
But I wasnt there
How does it feel?
Who needs permission?
How does it feel
When somethings missin?
Even your heart, its under suspicion
You cant turn back and its plain to see, oh, ho
With every step that you take
Youll be lovin me sooner or later
cause when it comes down to fate
Youll be lovin me sooner or later
Oh, oh, I know
You play that game of control
But take no position, mmm, mmm
You never let yourself go
A tragic condition
And by that look on your face
You love all the pleasure
Dont let this chance slip away
Why wait forever?
Everyone needs some love and affection
One of these days youre gonna listen
Take it from me, Im not your no exception
And thats a solid-gold guarantee
With every step that you take
Youll be lovin me sooner or later, oh
cause when it comes down to fate
Youll be lovin me sooner or later
Oh, ho, I know
(with every step that you take)
Youll be lovin me sooner or later, oh, oh
(cause when it comes down to fate)
Youll be lovin me sooner or later
Oh, oh
(with every step that you take)
Youll be lovin me sooner or later, youll be lovin me
(cause when it comes down to fate)

Youll be lovin, lovin, mmm

Tirocinium; or, a Review of Schools
It is not from his form, in which we trace
Strength join'd with beauty, dignity with grace,
That man, the master of this globe, derives
His right of empire over all that lives.
That form, indeed, the associate of a mind
Vast in its powers, ethereal in its kind,
That form, the labour of Almighty skill,
Framed for the service of a freeborn will,
Asserts precedence, and bespeaks control,
But borrows all its grandeur from the soul.
Hers is the state, the splendour, and the throne,
An intellectual kingdom, all her own.
For her the memory fills her ample page
With truths pour’d down from every distant age;
For her amasses an unbounded store,
The wisdom of great nations, now no more;
Though laden, not encumber’d with her spoil;
Laborious, yet unconscious of her toil;
When copiously supplied, then most enlarged;
Still to be fed, and not to be surcharged.
For her the Fancy, roving unconfined,
The present muse of every pensive mind,
Works magic wonders, adds a brighter hue
To Nature’s scenes than Nature ever knew.
At her command winds rise and waters roar,
Again she lays them slumbering on the shore;
With flower and fruit the wilderness supplies,
Or bids the rocks in ruder pomp arise.
For her the Judgment, umpire in the strife
That Grace and Nature have to wage through life,
Quick-sighted arbiter of good and ill,
Appointed sage preceptor to the Will,
Condemns, approves, and, with a faithful voice,
Guides the decision of a doubtful choice.
Why did the fiat of a God give birth
To yon fair Sun and his attendant Earth?
And, when descending he resigns the skies,
Why takes the gentler Moon her turn to rise,
Whom Ocean feels through all his countless waves,
And owns her power on every shore he laves?
Why do the seasons still enrich the year,
Fruitful and young as in their first career?
Spring hangs her infant blossoms on the trees,
Rock’d in the cradle of the western breeze:
Summer in haste the thriving charge receives
Beneath the shade of her expanded leaves,
Till Autumn’s fiercer heats and plenteous dews
Dye them at last in all their glowing hues.—
‘Twere wild profusion all, and bootless waste,
Power misemploy’d, munificence misplaced,

Root Out Corruption
We heaved a little sigh
When Indian tri color rose high
It was free air for us to breathe
Entire world was happy and eager with
We won the independence with great struggle
Even though challenges stayed ahead with troubles
Our forefathers visualized India as great and tolerant giant
A truly democratic, peace loving and non defiant
We were like infant in new world
Committed to peace and no part in cold era
Joining world forums for stable and peaceful atmosphere
Where world can live in harmony and peace without fear
Soon we tested the money power
The power was passed in the hands of fewer
It has become game and now total shameless show
World is strangulated and forced to withdraw
Had those leaders been alive today?
They should have wept and thrown the power away
Was this the dream they wanted to realize?
Scoundrels and murders were meant to oblige
The corruption is at its peak
The politicians have captured it with stick
The money is poured in to realize the power
The constitution is subverted to benefit the fewer
National wealth is pushed outside country
The poor nation is at the mercy of almighty
Not millions but billions are siphoned
Illiterate and mafias have totally cloned
It is new breed and now coming on scene
The murderers and gang rapists are freely seen
Not a single work is done without favor
Whole political system needs one tremor
What do we do then to counter such move?
How can we unite and forcibly remove?
Whether to face the game of ballots or bullets?
How can we simply witness such corruption or forget?
Years have gone off after becoming republic
Adding more and more sufferings for poor public
No grains and no food for two square meals
How much loss is reported or revealed?

Book Ninth [Residence in France]
EVEN as a river,--partly (it might seem)
Yielding to old remembrances, and swayed
In part by fear to shape a way direct,
That would engulph him soon in the ravenous sea--
Turns, and will measure back his course, far back,
Seeking the very regions which he crossed
In his first outset; so have we, my Friend!
Turned and returned with intricate delay.
Or as a traveller, who has gained the brow
Of some aerial Down, while there he halts
For breathing-time, is tempted to review
The region left behind him; and, if aught
Deserving notice have escaped regard,
Or been regarded with too careless eye,
Strives, from that height, with one and yet one more
Last look, to make the best amends he may:
So have we lingered. Now we start afresh
With courage, and new hope risen on our toil.
Fair greetings to this shapeless eagerness,
Whene'er it comes! needful in work so long,
Thrice needful to the argument which now
Awaits us! Oh, how much unlike the past!
Free as a colt at pasture on the hill,
I ranged at large, through London's wide domain,
Month after month. Obscurely did I live,
Not seeking frequent intercourse with men,
By literature, or elegance, or rank,
Distinguished. Scarcely was a year thus spent
Ere I forsook the crowded solitude,
With less regret for its luxurious pomp,
And all the nicely-guarded shows of art,
Than for the humble book-stalls in the streets,
Exposed to eye and hand where'er I turned.
France lured me forth; the realm that I had crossed
So lately, journeying toward the snow-clad Alps.
But now, relinquishing the scrip and staff,
And all enjoyment which the summer sun
Sheds round the steps of those who meet the day
With motion constant as his own, I went
Prepared to sojourn in a pleasant town,
Washed by the current of the stately Loire.
Through Paris lay my readiest course, and there
Sojourning a few days, I visited
In haste, each spot of old or recent fame,
The latter chiefly, from the field of Mars
Down to the suburbs of St. Antony,
And from Mont Martre southward to the Dome

Hudibras: Part 3 - Canto II
THE ARGUMENT
The Saints engage in fierce Contests
About their Carnal interests;
To share their sacrilegious Preys,
According to their Rates of Grace;
Their various Frenzies to reform,
When Cromwel left them in a Storm
Till, in th' Effigy of Rumps, the Rabble
Burns all their Grandees of the Cabal.
THE learned write, an insect breeze
Is but a mungrel prince of bees,
That falls before a storm on cows,
And stings the founders of his house;
From whose corrupted flesh that breed
Of vermin did at first proceed.
So e're the storm of war broke out,
Religion spawn'd a various rout
Of petulant Capricious sects,
The maggots of corrupted texts,
That first run all religion down,
And after ev'ry swarm its own.
For as the Persian Magi once
Upon their mothers got their sons,
That were incapable t' enjoy
That empire any other way;
So PRESBYTER begot the other
Upon the good old Cause, his mother,
Then bore then like the Devil's dam,
Whose son and husband are the same.
And yet no nat'ral tie of blood
Nor int'rest for the common good
Cou'd, when their profits interfer'd,
Get quarter for each other's beard.
For when they thriv'd, they never fadg'd,
But only by the ears engag'd:
Like dogs that snarl about a bone,
And play together when they've none,
As by their truest characters,
Their constant actions, plainly appears.
Rebellion now began, for lack
Of zeal and plunders to grow slack;
The Cause and covenant to lessen,
And Providence to b' out of season:
For now there was no more to purchase
O' th' King's Revenue, and the Churches,
But all divided, shar'd, and gone,
That us'd to urge the Brethren on;
Which forc'd the stubborn'st for the Cause,

Look Into The Sun
(myles goodwyn)
Published by mfg sing sing music/socan - ascap
You were a friend of mine, you stalked me time after time
You really worked me over
You smelt just friend, not foe, but how was I to know
Youre glad (youre glad), youre gone (youre gone)
Sooner or later, sooner or later it comes
Its easier to face the light than look into the sun
I know that youre crazy, thats easy to see
Dont lay your darkness over me
You were a friend of mine, you hit me from behind
Or was it slight of hand
I just might strike you back, the best defense is attack
And I just might rip your heart out
Sooner or later, sooner or later it comes
Its easier to face the light than look into the sun
I know that youre crazy, thats easy to see
Dont lay your darkness over me
You always talk too fast
Like a snake, you crawl across the grass
But youre really nothin at all (at all)
Some people deserve to win, while others fall
Sooner or later, sooner or later it comes
Its easier to face the light than look into the sun
I know that youre crazy, thats easy to see
Dont lay your darkness over me

One Of Us Must Know
I didn't mean to treat you so bad
You shouldn't take it so personal
I didn't mean to make you so sad
You just happened to be there, that's all
When i saw you say "goodbye" to your friend and smile
I thought that it was well understood
That you'd be comin' back in a little while
I didn't know that you were sayin' "goodbye" for good
But, sooner or later, one of us must know
You just did what you're supposed to do
Sooner or later, one of us must know
That i really did try to get close to you
I couldn't see what you could show me
Your scarf had kept your mouth well hid
I couldn't see how you could know me
But you said you knew me and i believed you did
When you whispered in my ear
And asked me if i was leavin' with you or her
I didn't realize just what i did hear
I didn't realize how young you were
But, sooner or later, one of us must know
You just did what you're supposed to do
Sooner or later, one of us must know
That i really did try to get close to you
I couldn't see when it started snowin'
Your voice was all that i heard
I couldn't see where we were goin'
But you said you knew an' i took your word
And then you told me later, as i apologized
That you were just kiddin' me, you weren't really from the farm
An' i told you, as you clawed out my eyes
That i never really meant to do you any harm
But, sooner or later, one of us must know
You just did what you're supposed to do
Sooner or later, one of us must know
That i really did try to get close to you

One Of Us Must Know (Sooner Or Later)
I didn't mean to treat you so bad
You shouldn't take it so personal
I didn't mean to make you so sad
You just happened to be there, that's all
When I saw you say "goodbye" to your friend and smile
I thought that it was well understood
That you'd be comin' back in a little while
I didn't know that you were sayin' "goodbye" for good
But, sooner or later, one of us must know
That you just did what you're supposed to do
Sooner or later, one of us must know
That I really did try to get close to you
I couldn't see what you could show me
Your scarf had kept your mouth well hid
I couldn't see how you could know me
But you said you knew me and I believed you did
When you whispered in my ear
And asked me if I was leavin' with you or her
I didn't realize just what I did hear
I didn't realize how young you were
But, sooner or later, one of us must know
That your just doing what you're supposed to do
Sooner or later, one of us must know
That I really did try to get close to you
I couldn't see when it started snowin'
Your voice was all that I heard
I couldn't see where we were goin'
But you said you knew an' I took your word
And then you told me later, as I apologized
That you were just kiddin' me, you weren't really from the farm
An' I told you, as you clawed out my eyes
That I never really meant to do you any harm
But, sooner or later, one of us must know
That you a just did what you're supposed to do
Sooner or later, one of us must know
That I really did try to get close to you
