Hey rainbow shower, I m lost in a hey
Sprinkle the purple orchids n roses

The Grammar Lesson

A noun's a thing. A verb's the thing it does.
An adjective is what describes the noun.
In "The can of beets is filled with purple fuzz"

of and with are prepositions. The's
an article, a can's a noun,
a noun's a thing. A verb's the thing it does.

A can can roll - or not. What isn't was
or might be, might meaning not yet known.
"Our can of beets is filled with purple fuzz"

is present tense. While words like our and us
are pronouns - i.e. it is moldy, they are icky brown.
A noun's a thing; a verb's the thing it does.

Is is a helping verb. It helps because
filled isn't a full verb. Can's what our owns
in "Our can of beets is filled with purple fuzz."

See? There's almost nothing to it. Just
memorize these rules...or write them down!
A noun's a thing, a verb's the thing it does.
The can of beets is filled with purple fuzz.

Verbs v. nouns

Nouns…
they’re dead things; names
you give to things to render them
immobile; to make them yours, your very own; fit for nothing
except scrapheaps, museums, dictionaries, armchairs;

but they make you feel good;
you have control over their world;
you don’t have to think about them any more;
they’re all locked up safe in your collecting-box,
the noun for which is head:

you can sound important with nouns:
this government’s raft of measures
for fiscal stimulation of the economy

but verbs… ah, verbs!
you can’t own them, push them about,
collect them, be important about them;
they own themselves;

they’re outdoor words: going about their
lawful business, doing what they're best at,
measuring their own life as they work;
adapting themselves to what needs to be done
which nouns can’t do without a committee
and then it’s too late; happy
to be themselves, being; even
being while they’re doing.. don't you wish
you were a verb?

Nature – (that’s a verb, by the way,
not a noun) – is all verbs; evolution
is a verb (not a theory):
DNA’s a verb – you can’t own it
like a noun…it doesn’t even
want to own you…

so, be a child – put your boots on,
run, splash, shout look at all those verbs;
how bright the world, what fun,
nothing to put in your pocket to take home

(or if you do, it’ll change to a noun, your noun,
in your pocket, in your drawer, gathering dust:
verbs don’t have the time to gather dust…)

verbs are for observing; verbs are for
seeing for the first time; wow! Verbs are for
inventors, explorers, tree-climbing,

Tears of the Gods!

Once he wore his nine-tasselled towel
around his hip bearing a drum at front of his midrif
he would sing aloud to invoke Lord Ayyanar,
half-buried at the outer base of the bund
of our village rain-fed tank,
to help him beating the drum
for moving the feet of his three daughters
with parrot-topped brass pots over their heads.
People near and far took his troop
at the time of festivals, being mesmerized
by the mavis of his dancing angels. 11

But he never gave up the service
of drumming up on the ghouls-howling tank bund
when the moon was out and hid.
The sound could be heard
by the sleepless elders of our village.
He would swim across the river
and reach the village on the other bank

to alert them for raising the river-bank,
and escape the wrath of the swelling river,
when floods from the western ghats
came in a roaring fury
and made a breach in the tank bund. 23

Covering himself with a hessian to bear the cold,
he would sing seeking the grace of the Lord
to save him from the hoodwinking elves
and protect the tank from breaching
Or else the paddy fields would be going dry.
Once he fell ill and lay at home.
The morning brought him news of a miracle.
Some theatre-goers to the nearby town
who came back after midnight,
asked him why he went unheeded
with a spear in his hand
in that dead of night on the bund.
The tank-keeper shed tears
thinking of the feat of the Lord on his behalf. 36

The breeze ruffling the watery surface
would lull him to sleep;
but snakes on the bund would hiss at him;
and he would dither and dodder along
humming the name of the Lord several times.
When thunder rumbled, he would shout
“Arjun had ten names” to thwart it.
Dredging leaves and flowers over the idol,
he would offer his thanks and prayers

Look at yourself.
Surprised? Shocked?
By what you see?

“Would you like to see?
Your coloured cousins?
Rule the World?
All You Have To Do Is Follow.”

The Dance Master. Mass Puppet.
Conductor! Conspirator! Siren who stole!
Dictatorial hypnotic lead regimented regime!

Highlighted in hysteria horrific history.
In racially intolerant massacre making!
Contemporary culturally indifferent ethnic spot-light!

The Leader! Of Who?
What? Leading Where?
Look at yourself! Surprised? Shocked? By what you see?

Bongo beat of bombastic speech!
Pounding upon reasons reaches!
“All You Have To Do Is Follow.”

The shake rattle and roll
of the tank tank tank!
Screaming rhythm of vibrating,
flesh hating,
marvelous musical toy;
with which to safely give Mr Otto Frank,
the sub-human guy;
a spank spank spank!

Shower Your Love

Shower your love on me
Don't make it so hard to cry
Shower your love on me
You dont need a reason why
'Cos I'm not even half the way there
But I'm just too stupid to care
So help me now
When i've fallen through
There are scenes in my open mind
Confusion and flashing lights
Shower your love on me
Cos nothing here feels right
Cos I'm not even half the way there
But I'm just too stupid to care
So help me now
When I've done all I can do
Shower Your love on me
I can't wait, I'm losing faith
Like we might just explode
Comfort me with a melody
Show me that I'm gonna know the answer
Show me that I'm gonna know
Shower Your Love on me
Don't make it so hard to cry
Shower your love on me
You don't need a reason why
Don't make it so hard to cry
Shower your love on me
Shower your love on me

Heaven, I Need A Hug

I'm just bein' real, you know
I'm like the sun, I'm tryin' to shine on everybody
You know what I'm sayin'
But it's like situation after situation, you know
So I write about it to get it off my chest, you heard
Dear mama, you wouldn't believe what I'm goin' through
But still I got my head up just like I promised you
Every since you left, your baby boy's been dealin' with
Problem after problem, tell me what am I supposed to do
See, I get lost sometimes, don't understand this place
Look in the mirror sometimes and see a troubled face
And then my tears roll down and hit the sink, Then I
Hold my head up high, hoping the Man upstairs can hear my cry
All these questions deep inside my mind
Like if Jesus loved me, why he leave my side
Mama, I'm still tryin' to get the answer why
You were young, 45, and you had to die
I'm always tryin' to help people out
And it's them same people tryin' to take food out my mouth
(Fo' real tho') Seems like the more money I make
(Fo' real tho') The more drama y'all try to create
(Fo' real tho') And through I try to move into the positive
(Fo' real tho') The more y'all don't wanna let me live
When will you realize that I don't owe you nothin'
Need to get up off your butt and go get your own somethin'
I'm pullin' on my hair to keep from snappin' off
Fools ride up in my camp and be yappin' off
Somebody out there please pray on what I'm talkin' 'bout
Still young tryin' to figure it out
Heaven, I need a hug
Is there anybody out there willin' to embrace a thug
Feelin' like a change of heart
And all I really need is a sign or a word from God
So shower down on me, wet me with your love
I need you to take me and lift me up, oh, yeah
I gave 13 years of my life to this industry
Hit song or not, I've given all of me
You smile in my face and tell me that you love
But then before you know the truth, you're so quick to judge me
That's alright, go ahead, keep talkin'
Cause I'mma hold my head up high and keep walkin'
And reach for the sky, focus on the plan
Rescue the ghetto with this paper a pen
And this is for the homies that we lost
Yo', we cannot forget y'all, so the hats come off
Pour a little liquor out for the memory
I know y'all up there sittin' on chrome in them pearly streets
Street survivors, be careful, stay alive
I'm prayin' for your families, I hope you pray for mine
(Fo' real tho') Used to be a time you wished me well

Old Town Types No. 16 - Mr Tank

'Twice one are two; twice two are four.'
I can still hear it floating thro' the old school door:
Those childish voices falling, rising in rhythmic chant,
In a room where heat is prevalent and ventilation scant.
'Twice nine are eight-teen.' And, presiding o'er the scene,
Like a demon in a 'panto,' blackavised and racked with pain,
Urging on the chorus faster, towers Mr Tank, the master,
With his mutton-chop whiskers and his cane
His cruel, thrice-accursed rattan cane.

Some incurable affliction soured his spirit, it was said;
For, above his brow, an ever-present plaster decked his head.
'Twice one are two; twice two are four -'
And suddenly the master disappeared behind the door.
For 'twas said, too, his affection had instilled a predilection
For too-frequent nips of liquor on the sly now and again.
And they boded fell disaster for gaunt Mr Tank, our master,
With his mutton-chop whiskers and his cane
His ever-swinging, torture-bringing cane.

He 'kept us in' one afternoon till summer dusk came down,
While, as the elder scholars knew, he liquored in the town,
And a dozen big boys rushed him as he swayed in at the door,
And they poured ink on his whiskers as he grovelled on the floor.
And we small kiddies stood about, mouths agape, eyes popping out,
To see our dreaded teacher branded with this shameful stain.
For no idol could loom vaster than grim Mr Tank, the master,
With his mutton-chop whiskers and his cane.
But they broke to bits his terrifying cane.

'Twice one are two, twice two are four'
The chant arose next morning, while, across the ink-stained floor,
Mr Tank, ashamed but savage, glowered at the trembling class . . .
But my thoughts of him grow gentle as the mellowing seasons pass.
Now, when hard-won knowledge fails me, straight an olden dread assails me,
And, a phantom cane, descending sharply stirs my wits again,
And I bless stern Tank, the master, with his strip of sticking-plaster,
And his mutton-chop whiskers, and his cane
Most especially, his wisdom-waking cane.

Carrion

a Enemy soldier lies motionless
and his limbs are twisted,
reaching for the last
energy of live
and a hand still holds a gun.

Blood and guts
are splattered about,
where a mortar bomb
hit home
and some flies gather.

The strong sulphur smell
mixed with fried human
burns my nose,
where smoke rises
from a shot out
enemy battle tank.

Another tank stand moveless
with its barrel
still aiming somewhere
and the remains
of its occupants hatched inside.

About a hundred Cuban tanks
and twice that much
enemy armoured cars,
stand lifeless in the African bush.

The battle scene is a graveyard
and my Ratel tank destroyer drives past,
to cross the Lomba river.

Before nightfall I fight
the darkness of my soul
and struggle with God
and to this day,
still no one can answer why.

[References: => Ratel tank destroyer=>Ratel ZT-3 (the anti-tank guided missile version) . Reference are given here to the “battle for Africa, ” fought by 61 South African mechanized battalion group and 32 South African battalion group against four brigades of the Soviet-led FAPLA forces (the 47th,59th,16th and 21st brigades) in Angola in August 1987.]

Abdul Hameed

As a plan of defence and to reply enemy's attacks
On grenadier's positions, being repeatedly made,
He occupied a vital area in the new defence plan,
A firm hold on that place was essential to sustain.

Serious threat developed, as the enemy attacked
With regiment of tanks, intense artillery preceded;
Shelling so heavily that shells littered every yard,
In defence positions, foe's tanks penetrated forward.

Hamid, commanding a recoilless gun detachment
Seeing gravity, moved to stop the tank regiment
In gun mounted jeep disregarding personal safety,
Taking his position he knocked out a tank of enemy.

Intense enemy shelling and tank fire couldn't deter
His sustained act of bravery knocked out an other;
One by one he knocked out six with accurate fire,
Then changed his position for seventh, with dare.

By this time, enemy had spotted his position,
On him brought down concentrated machine gun.
The intense and continued fire put him in trouble
A war was continued between steel made and muscle

He fought, as not the tanks, he was made of steel
Kept on firing, with his courage and patriotic feel.
As he fired to destroy the seventh tank of enemy,
Wounded by a high explosive shell, mortally;

His bravery and steel like determination, destroyed
Six plus one tank, which took The Hero too, along
Defended his mother land with strong determination
And lived for ever, in hearts of people of his nation.

Think-tank! Sink-sank! A LONELY PINK ROSE Shrinks in the Only Garden!

Drifting in the lonely redwoods, I met a monstrous leviathan
By switching his homes and names - hermit and egotist heinous
Loner, sequester and seclusionist are his names - atrocious!
Lonely dybbuk visits every home gifting a rocket to you and me,
Think-tank! Sink-sank! A lonely pink rose shrinks in only garden!

I'm taking blows of west wind in barren land, cries a lone hand;
I'm sitting with empty ache; I'm a fruitcake in the lonely land!
I'm a blue star in the night sky; lonely car in the lonely street.
In darkness, I'm in rivers of blood and fears; is it solo treat?
Think-tank! Sink-sank! A lonely pink rose shrinks in only garden!

Lonely I am, I sit and stare; stand and care, yet a lonely stick!
Lonely I am, I feel pain; I cry my eyes out with lonely lipstick!
Lonely I am, like it or hate it, I feel and deal in lonely date;
I don't want to be lonely, I'm with me yet I'm alone, is it fate?
Think-tank! Sink-sank! A lonely pink rose shrinks in only garden!

Today I'm in sorrow, I don't know tomorrow, sings a lone sparrow;
Lonely in the morning I wake in the life of fake for lonely sake;
Loneness burdens, a gutless fight, a pitiless fall, a story fake!
I don't want to die, but I can't bear it anymore says a lone arrow
Think-tank! Sink-sank! A lonely pink rose shrinks in only garden!

Among horny cassowaries bumbles a solo red robin - lissome
Betwixt morbid jackals tumbles a solo cervid, a deer lovesome
Along the Blue Super Giants funks a solo red dwarf star handsome
In the smutty cabbage skunks shrinks solo cherry blossom awesome,
Think-tank! Sink-sank! A lonely pink rose shrinks in only garden!

THE PLAINTIFF
THE DEFENDANT
COUNSEL FOR THE PLAINTIFF
USHER
FOREMAN OF THE JURY
ASSOCIATE
FIRST BRIDESMAID

SCENE - A Court of Justice, Barristers, Attorney, and Jurymen
discovered.

CHORUS

Hark, the hour of ten is sounding:
Hearts with anxious fears are bounding,
Hall of Justice, crowds surrounding,
Breathing hope and fear--
For to-day in this arena,
Summoned by a stern subpoena,
Edwin, sued by Angelina,
Shortly will appear.

Enter Usher

SOLO - USHER

Now, Jurymen, hear my advice--
All kinds of vulgar prejudice
I pray you set aside:
With stern, judicial frame of mind
From bias free of every kind,
This trial must be tried.

CHORUS

From bias free of every kind,
This trial must be tried.

[During Chorus, Usher sings fortissimo, "Silence in Court!"]

USHER Oh, listen to the plaintiff's case:
Observe the features of her face--
The broken-hearted bride.
Condole with her distress of mind:
From bias free of every kind,
This trial must be tried!

Disparity

Why do we call it disparity?
Do we fail and lack clarity?
Or merely feel it is charity,
what is the answer for parity?

We never stooped below and sank,
some smarts get together and call it think tank,
we have divergent views and live in opposite bank
never try to find out why are we so frank?

Alas! God had some ideas coming very late,
but we recreated it and added hate
still not think it improper and appreciate,
human values so down and depreciated,

Can we not remain one and swim?
blame no one and just pray only HIM
do our duty and not miss the object prime,
think not different and consider it crime,

Are we not fully dedicated yet?
Still we claim ourselves a disciplined lot?
Cool not down when it is too hot,
think so old and continue to rot,

Has God created different world for us?
Why do we think then so thus?
Are we just slaves in our own home?
And we pray none but dead in dome

when you march and think of none?
Make best efforts to see work well done,
Diamonds may come but unfinished from mines
we polish it and shape on different lines?

Do we breathe separate fresh air?
Do stars appear always in pair?
Why do we fight and always dare?
Do we deny HIM and not just care?

Together we fight rank along tank,
don’t see ground, river or bank,
Shed blood for honor and holy cause,
why then there be any deliberate pause?

Are we not confusing and defining?
Drawing it wrong and only redefining,
Still time is left there not to confine,
it stands for those who combat and combine,

Shower The People

You can play the game and you can act out the part
Though you know it wasnt written for you
But tell me, how can you stand there with your broken heart
Ashamed of playing the fool
One thing can lead to another; it doesnt take any sacrifice
Oh, father and mother, sister and brother
If it feels nice, dont think twice
Just shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna work out fine if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way you feel
Things are gonna be much better if you only will
You can run but you cannot hide
This is widely known
And what you plan to do with your foolish pride
When youre all by yourself alone
Once you tell somebody the way that you feel
You can feel it beginning to ease
I think its true what they say about the squeaky wheel
Always getting the grease.
Better to shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna be just fine if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Things are gonna be much better if you only will
Shower the people you love with love
Show them the way that you feel
Youll feel better right away
Dont take much to do
Sell you pride
They say in every life
They say the rain must fall
Just like pouring rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Love, love, love is sunshine.
Oh yes
Make it rain
Love, love, love is sunshine
Yeah, all right
Everybody, everybody
Shower the people you love with love

The Young Man

(in answer to Elisabeth Eybers)

Under the shower her man is soaking wet
where she wraps her arms around him
and around him water splashes.

His skin is soft under her hands,
she washes down his spine
and she almost slips, are against him

and the floor of the shower is slippery
when she moves still closer to him.
Under the shower her man is soaking wet

and he smiles softly with white shining teeth,
she can feel his muscles tightening with power,
she washes down his spine

and when she slips, she has to move her grip on him,
with water flowing over both of them
and around him water splashes.

and he stops her from falling, grabs her with power
and she washes down his upper leg,
she can feel his muscles tightening with power

and the floor is slippery but flat
and she wonders from where his manly power comes?
Under the shower her man is soaking wet

and she washes him as low as every heel,
her fingers grips
and she washes down his upper leg

and his chest hairs are smudged black
and his gaze is full of lust without any suspicion
and around him water splashes.

over his arms, his strong rib cage
She sees his member tightening, totally set
her fingers grips

where suddenly takes him
looking at him with conceit.
Under the shower her man is soaking wet
and around him water splashes

and his smile almost swallows her and it’s bold,
his skin is soft under her hands,
she sees his member tightening, totally set

The Four Seasons : Spring

Come, gentle Spring! ethereal Mildness! come,
And from the bosom of yon dropping cloud,
While music wakes around, veil'd in a shower
Of shadowing roses, on our plains descend.
O Hertford, fitted or to shine in courts
With unaffected grace, or walk the plain
With innocence and meditation join'd
In soft assemblage, listen to my song,
Which thy own Season paints; when Nature all
Is blooming and benevolent, like thee.
And see where surly Winter passes off,
Far to the north, and calls his ruffian blasts:
His blasts obey, and quit the howling hill,
The shatter'd forest, and the ravaged vale;
While softer gales succeed, at whose kind touch,
Dissolving snows in livid torrents lost,
The mountains lift their green heads to the sky.
As yet the trembling year is unconfirm'd,
And Winter oft at eve resumes the breeze,
Chills the pale morn, and bids his driving sleets
Deform the day delightless: so that scarce
The bittern knows his time, with bill ingulf'd,
To shake the sounding marsh; or from the shore
The plovers when to scatter o'er the heath,
And sing their wild notes to the listening waste
At last from Aries rolls the bounteous sun,
And the bright Bull receives him. Then no more
The expansive atmosphere is cramp'd with cold
But, full of life and vivifying soul,
Lifts the light clouds sublime, and spreads then thin,
Fleecy, and white, o'er all-surrounding heaven.

Minefield

Thunder came from the grass
and open the earth split
tearing the wheels from a armoured car

and again the ear deafening roar
just as before lightening leaped
right from the ground
slicing at a battle tank

and then most of the armour
draw back to safe ground
and two officers went right in
through the battle din of machinegun
and tank canon

to extract a tank with a wounded man
while shrapnel fell and bullets screamed
across their heads
and at the craters edge repaired,
got that piece of armour moving again.
