Because we’ve been separated for the longest time now, but a particular bond has always held us together,
You’re not mine and I’m not yours but there’s still something hidden, deep in between the distance…
When you told me what happened, I wanted to punch down the wall of regret I built around my heart,
No shower can wash me of this uneasy feeling because I was coming back; at least that’s what I thought…
I just needed a little more time… I can’t take it back, or change what is done, what is now or what is reality…
So many times I wanted to call you back and lay bricks to a new foundation, I just never seemed to find the time in me…
Sad to say you were on my list to do, to love you the way a good man is supposed to, the way I was supposed to…
I’m mad at you, but even angrier at my actions, because I let idle time take control of my passion…

Sonnet: ’Tis Tough to Do Good Things!
’Tis easy to commit habitual sin;
’Tis easy to keep doing greater vice;
’Tis easy to succumb to temptation;
’Tis tough to always heed to good advice.
’Tis easy to point fingers at brothers;
’Tis tough to lead a righteous life on earth;
’Tis tough to forgive foes and your neighbors;
’Tis tough to keep your soul pure for God’s mirth.
’Tis tough to walk in heaven’s narrow road;
’Tis tough to sacrifice and pray to God;
’Tis tough to keep the Maker’s tenets, code;
’Tis tough to live according to God’s word.
No one can break the Lord’s affinity;
God helps the righteous gain eternity.

Dear Supposed Mom...
Dear supposed mom,
Where are you?
Where have you been all my life?
I thought I was lost and I really needed you.
Dear supposed mom,
Why did you leave me?
Why were you gone all my life.
I never thought that I could fell this betrayed by my family.
Dear supposed mom,
What did I mean in your life?
What did I do to make you hate me?
I'm sorry I caused you so much strife.
Dear supposed mom,
Who are you?
Who do you think you are?
Do you feel the same way I do?
Dear supposed mom,
When are you coming for me?
When do you plan on finding me?
I just want to have a real family.
Dear supposed mom,
I want to hear from you.
Dear supposed mom,
I hate you but I want to love you.
