Bring Me The Disco King

You promised me the ending would be clear,
You'd let me know when the time was now,
Don't let me know when you are opening the door,
Stab me int he dark let me dissappear.
Memories that flutter like bats out of hell,
Stab you from city spires,
Life wasn't worth the balance,
Or the crumppled paper it was written on.
(Don't let me know we're invisible.)
(Don't let me know we're invisible.)
Hot flashed days that you trailed around,
Cold, cold nights under chrome and glass,
Let me down a river of perfumed legs,
Sent me to the streets with the good time girl.
(Don't let me know we're invisible.)
(Don't let me know we're invisible.)
We can dance, dance, dance to the fire.
Dance, dance, dance to the fire.
Feed me no lies,
(I don't knwo about you, I don't knwo about you)
Breath through the years,
(i don't knwo about you, I don't knwo about you)
Bring me the disco king,
(I don't knwo about you, I don't knwo about you)
Dead or alive,
Feed me no lies.
Bring me the disco king. Bring me the disco king.
Bring me the disco king. Bring me the head of the disco king.
Spin offs with those who slept like corpes,
Damp morning rays in the stiff black pubs,
Killing time in the seventies,
Smelling of blood in the moist wind.
Don't let me know when you're opening the door,
Close me in the dark, let me disappear,
Soon they'll be nothing left of me,
Nothing left to relieve.

Screw Faces

[Bob Marley]
Whoa, now!
Screwface know-a who fi frighten!
Screwface know-a who fi frighten!
Like I told, they say, "Coward, man".
Gonna keep some bones
And all violent man gonna weep and moan.
He that exalted him say, "Yeah!"
Shall be obeyed.
Remember Jah - Jah children deh!
Don't dread no pain.
Fear do we go now
To the rivers of ungodly waters, we'll fear no foe
(fear no foe, fear no foe).
Wherever I go,
Not even the pestilence
That crawl at I'n'I
Can't do - wo-wo-wo - me no wrong (just can't do me no wrong).
Oh, now!
I tell you what red is!
I tell you what I know:
(Screwface know-a who fi frighten!)
Screwface know-a who fi frighten!
Screwface know-a who fi frighten! Wo, now!
(Screwface know-a who fi frighten!) Screwface will frighten
screwface!
(Screwface know-a who fi frighten!) Long time gone, y'all!
(Screwface know-a who fi frighten!) Screwface will frighten
screwface!
Wo, yeah! Now!
(Screwface know-a who fi frighten!)

Duppy Conquerer

[Bob Marley]
Yes, me friend,
We deh a street again.
Yes, me friend, me good friend,
Dem say we free again.
The bars could not hold me;
Force could not control me now.
They try to keep me down, yeah!
But Jah put I around. Yeah!
Yes, I've been accused many a times
And wrongly abused, now.
Oh, but through the powers of the Most-I,
They've got to turn me loose.
O-o-oh! O-o-ooh! Oh! Don't try to cold me up on this bridge, now.
I've got to reach Mount Zion -
The highest region.
So if you a bull-bucka,
Let me tell you this -
I'm a duppy conqueror - conqueror. Oh, yeah!
Yes, me friend, me good friend,
We deh a street again. O-oh!
Yes, me friend, me good friend,
Dem say we free again. Oh! Oh!
So don't try to cold me up on this bridge, now.
I've got to reach Mount Zion -
The highest region.
So if you a bull-bucka,
Let me tell you this:
I'm a duppy conqueror - conqueror. Oh, yeah!

as just a few of the many things,

I wish you wern't worht the wait

all in one breath you could shug mr off your shoulders
cos i dont think that you know what oyuve been missing
and i dont hitnk that you knwo what you've been missing
cos i dont think that you,

Take It Fightin’

When you’ve got no chance at all,
Take it fightin’.
When you’re driven to the wall,
Take it fightin’.

There are things that we delight in
For the wrongin’ or the rightin’,
But the fool you cannot frighten
(That you cannot bluff nor frighten)
He is King of all.
(Take it fightin’.)

When you’re down an’ out an’ utter,
Take it fightin’;
When they’ve put you in the gutter,
Take it fightin’.

There are things that we delight in
For the wrongin’ or the rightin’,
But the fool you cannot frighten
(That you cannot bluff nor frighten)
He is King of all.
(Take it fightin’.)

Mr. Brown

[Bob Marley]
(Ooh - ooh - ooh - ooh)
(It's Mr Brown) Mr Brown is a clown who rides to town in a coffin.
(Well, here he comes) In the top is ... three rows on top and two inside there.
Oh, what a confusion! Ooh, yeah, yeah!
What a botheration! Ooh, now, now!
Who is Mr Brown? I wanna know now!
He is nowhere to be found.
From Mandeville to slide-a-ville, coffin runnin' around,
Upsetting, upsetting, upsetting the town,
Asking for Mr Brown.
From Mandeville to slide-a-ville, coffin runnin' around,
upsetting, upsetting, upsetting the town,
Asking for Mr Brown.
I wanna know who (is Mr Brown)?
Is Mr Brown controlled by remote?
O-o-oh, calling duppy conqueror,
I'm the ghost-catcher!
This is your chance, oh big, big Bill bull-bucka,
Take your chance! Prove yourself! Oh, yeah!
Down in parade
People runnin like a masquerade.
The police make a raid,
But the people - oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah - they think it
fade.
What a thing in town
Crows chauffeur-driven around,
Skankin' as if they had never known
The man they call "Mr Brown".
I can tell you where he's from now:
From Mandeville to slide-a-ville, coffin runnin' around,
Upsetting, upsetting, upsetting the town,
Asking for Mr Brown.
From Mandeville to slide-a-ville -

Swear It Again

I wanna know
Whoever told you I was letting go
Of the only joy that I have ever known
Girl they were lying
Just look around
And all the people that we used to know
Have just given up they wanna let it go
But we're still trying

So you should know this love we shared
Was never made to die
I'm glad we're on this one way street
Just you and I
Just you and I

Chorus
I'm never gonna say goodbye
'Cause I never wanna see you cry
I swore to you my love would remain
And I swear it all over again and I
I'm never gonna treat you bad
'Cause I never wanna see you sad
I swore to share your joy and pain
And I swear it all over again

All over again

Some people say
That everything has got its place in time
Even the day must give way to the night
But I'm not buying
'Cause in your eyes
I see a love that burns eternally
And if you see how beautiful you are to me
You'll know I'm not lying

Sure there'll be times we wanna say goodbye
But even if we tried
There are some things in this life
Won't be denied
Won't be denied

Chorus

The more I know of you
Is the more I knwo I love you
And the more that I'm sure
I want you forever and ever more
And the more that you love me

Generations Of Love (La La Gone Gaga Mix)

I don't know much
but I know what I feel
there's too many people fighting
tied to the wheel
I don't know much
but I know what i see
there's too many people crying
washed out to sea
and there's much more we can say
much more we can do
much more we can learn
generations of love
I don't knwo you but you know what I am
hey I don't need redemption
or no government plan
no big AIDS sensation
no 28 clause
the end of aparteid
no message of war
the jew and the gentile
the black and the gay
the lost and the futile
they've all got something to say
the african nation
the sword of Islam
the rebels in chaina
the sikhs and the tams
the house of our father
the volumes of guilt
the luck of the Irish
the blood that we've spilt
the angels and martyrs
the lovers and saints
the sisters of mercy
the brothers of pain

How Could I Tell You?

How could I tell you that this time
This rhyme
Is written just for you
When there are so many before too
About otehr girls or past love or deep scarred hurt
How can I assert
That my poetry is for you and still make it sincere
When you aren't the first one I've called my dear
Does each time I love scar my heart more?
Or will the next time give me hope like before?
I'm not sure what or who to hope for anymore
Because I don't think I'm fit for you
I've told so many others that I love them too...
Maybe only rhough poetry
But still can't you see?
It'd be hypocritical to profess
That you're my only one
So I must confess
I don't know how to say you''re my love, alas I am undone
How could I tell you how much I carre
This I do not dare
When so many others have been in my heart
It's like they each have a part
But I want to give it all to you!
But haven't I said this to each girl too...

I might say you're special, but if things don't work out...
I'll fall in love with another no doubt
But is that even so wrong?
Isn't it part of life to move on?
And yet I cna't live like it is because I just want to love
One, pure as a dove
I feel as if it's too late to attain such a lofty goal
I wish I could give yo my heart whole
But who's to say anyy of this carrries weight?
When I'm in this angry and confused state
I don't know if you lvoe more or if I want you to...
I jut want what's best for you.
But I don't knwo how to accept the truth, if it's not me
I guess I'm just selfish so go find another he...
I'm, far too selfish and uncontrolled with my love to love you
So do I tell you that or just let you go?
How could I tell you I wrote this just for you
I pray
That one day
You'll be the 'you'
That I always talk to
But in the end I jut want what's best
Even if it means I havbee to fade away, just like all the rest
But maybe then I'll never have to tell you how

Thirty Pieces

Thirty pieces of silver screen
Deep inside our souls
How did we betray our imagination
Watching our futures unfold
Without a whisper for fear of intrusion
We have to see how this part ends
Time out for commericals
Time out to be good friends
But our generations angry
Were so scared that we cant see
The answer right inside of us
If we can find the place in our hearts where were all free
Does it see that time works against us
Or does it just march on and on and on
Sometimes it drives me crazy
Proving nostradamus wrong, so wrong
But we still have secret silos with buttons, codes and keys
We can avert this awful disaster
If we find the place in our hearts where were all free
And what a tall order
Far be it for me to say
Maybe Ill try a little harder
Starting here today
Or just throw in the towel
Laydown five up the ghost
And join all the cynics
Luckier than most.
Maybe Ill check out with a bullet
Would you think less of me
Or would it frighten you enough
Would it rattle you enough
Would it frighten you enough to ...
Find the place in our hearts where were all free

Talk Talk Talk

A healthy argument to start the day, what better way
We chew the fat of life, we're moved to tears
Lend me your ears
But you spend all your time
Waiting in static shopping lines
And all your troublesome debates
Are solved in glossy magazines
Too much small talk leaves you with small minds
So tell me what your views are
And I will tell you mine
Well how's the weather
(grey and boring)
It's back to work on
(Monday morning)
Oh let it go
Tell me things I'd like to know
Frighten me, enlighten me, oh no
Opinion can be void if not presented from both sides
So speak your mind my dear, your loves and fears
And nothing in between
Initiate debate about
The way you hate the things I say
I'd rather that then spend another minute
Killing time
Too much small talk leaves you with small minds
So tell me all your secrets
I'll never tell you mine
Well how's the weather
(grey and boring)
It's back to work on
(Monday morning)
Oh let it go
Tell me things I'd like to know
Frighten me, enlighten me, oh no

Atom Heart Mother Suite

Lime and limpid green, a second scene
A fight between the blue you once knew.
Floating down, the sound resounds
Around the icy waters underground.
Jupiter and Saturn, Oberon, Miranda and Titania.
Neptune, Titan, Stars can frighten.
Lime and limpid green, a second scene
A fight between the blue you once knew.
Floating down, the sound resounds
Around the icy waters underground.
Jupiter and Saturn, Oberon, Miranda and Titania.
Neptune, Titan, Stars can frighten.
Blinding signs flap,
Flicker, flicker, flicker blam. Pow, pow.
Stairway scare Dan dare who's there?
Lime and limpid green, the sounds around
The icy waters under
Lime and limpid green, the sounds around
The icy waters underground.

Departure

It was not like your great and gracious ways!
Do you, that have naught other to lament,
Never, my Love, repent
Of how, that July afternoon,
You went,
With sudden, unintelligible phrase,
And frighten'd eye,
Upon your journey of so many days
Without a single kiss, or a good-bye?
I knew, indeed, that you were parting soon;
And so we sate, within the low sun's rays,
You whispering to me, for your voice was weak,
Your harrowing praise.
Well, it was well
To hear you such things speak,
And I could tell
What made your eyes a growing gloom of love,
As a warm South-wind sombres a March grove.
And it was like your great and gracious ways
To turn your talk on daily things, my Dear,
Lifting the luminous, pathetic lash
To let the laughter flash,
Whilst I drew near,
Because you spoke so low that I could scarcely hear.
But all at once to leave me at the last,
More at the wonder than the loss aghast,
With huddled, unintelligible phrase,
And frighten'd eye,
And go your journey of all days
With not one kiss, or a good-bye,
And the only loveless look the look with which you pass'd:
'Twas all unlike your great and gracious ways.

The Unknown Eros. Book I.

I
Saint Valentine’s Day

Well dost thou, Love, thy solemn Feast to hold
In vestal February;
Not rather choosing out some rosy day
From the rich coronet of the coming May,
When all things meet to marry!

O, quick, prævernal Power
That signall'st punctual through the sleepy mould
The Snowdrop's time to flower,
Fair as the rash oath of virginity
Which is first-love's first cry;
O, Baby Spring,
That flutter'st sudden 'neath the breast of Earth
A month before the birth;
Whence is the peaceful poignancy,
The joy contrite,
Sadder than sorrow, sweeter than delight,
That burthens now the breath of everything,
Though each one sighs as if to each alone
The cherish'd pang were known?
At dusk of dawn, on his dark spray apart,
With it the Blackbird breaks the young Day's heart;
In evening's hush
About it talks the heavenly-minded Thrush;
The hill with like remorse
Smiles to the Sun's smile in his westering course;
The fisher's drooping skiff
In yonder sheltering bay;
The choughs that call about the shining cliff;
The children, noisy in the setting ray;
Own the sweet season, each thing as it may;
Thoughts of strange kindness and forgotten peace
In me increase;
And tears arise
Within my happy, happy Mistress' eyes,
And, lo, her lips, averted from my kiss,
Ask from Love's bounty, ah, much more than bliss!

Is't the sequester'd and exceeding sweet
Of dear Desire electing his defeat?
Is't the waked Earth now to yon purpling cope
Uttering first-love's first cry,
Vainly renouncing, with a Seraph's sigh,
Love's natural hope?
Fair-meaning Earth, foredoom'd to perjury!
Behold, all amorous May,
With roses heap'd upon her laughing brows,

The Message

Wind of the gentle summer night,
Dwell in the lilac tree,
Sway the blossoms clustered light,
Then blow over to me.

Wind, you are sometimes strong and great,
You frighten the ships at sea,
Now come floating your delicate freight
Out of the lilac tree,

Wind you must waver a gossamer sail
To ferry a scent so light,
Will you carry my love a message as frail
Through the hawk-haunted night?

For my heart is sometimes strange and wild,
Bitter and bold and free,
I scare the beautiful timid child,
As you frighten the ships at sea;

But now when the hawks are piercing the air,
With the golden stars above,
The only thing that my heart can bear
Is a lilac message of love.

Gentle wind, will you carry this
Up to her window white
Give her a gentle tender kiss;
Bid her good-night, good-night.

Futility

The scarecrow dressed in cast off clothes.
Sticks grimly to his given task
But does he frighten off the crows,
that is the question we must ask.

When he is new perhaps he will
but crows are wise and realise.
This ragged figure stands stock still
and will not take them by surprise.

He cannot move, inanimate.
Which leaves then free to eat their fill.
A guardian quite inadequate.
He does not and he never will.

Frighten the crows who are too wise
to be afraid of straw stuffed clothes
Though he appears in manly guise
he can’t deter the hungry crows.

The scarecrow fails in his attempt.
He never really stood a chance
Crows treat him with amused contempt
and disregard his vigilance.

Learning New Skills: something a little different

I smell the rancid stench of fear.
Although you sense that I am near.
You give no credibility
to anything which you can’t see.

You don’t believe in ghosts as such
And yet you’re conscious of my touch.
But you refuse to listen to
the inner voice that’s telling you

There are some things you can’t explain.
Some hidden aspect of your brain.
Which knows a great deal more than you
are prepared to believe is true.

You are aware your terrified
of something but you can’t decide.
If it is fact or fantasy.
Should you fight or should you flee.

I can’t do what I used to do.
All I can do is frighten you
I cannot harm you physically.
That pleasure is forbidden me.

I feed upon the scent of fear
To satisfy my appetite.
Before I died I used to kill
And if I could I would still kill.

But I cannot I’m just a ghost
one of the great unnumbered host.
Who have to pay the penalty
for who and what they used to be.

A never ending punishment
For those who can’t or won’t repent.
As long as I can frighten you
I will continue making do.

A lesser thrill I must confess
But it feeds me none the less.
The taste of terror exquisite
It titillates my appetite

for cruelty. I am still proud to be
operating sadistically.
Inflicting mental cruelty.
A student of psychology.
