Running The Risk
Seeing you, watching you
Watching me
I hold back my emotions
I keep them veiled in secrecy
I cant let go of this thing weve started
Wasnt looking for love
No conspiracy of the broken hearted
I dont know how far to go
Until Im gone, gone, gone
I couldnt see the danger
It was just a little taste of temptation
I could not read the silence
That was written on your face
But here comes that feeling again
And theres nothing more I can do
I keep running the risk of losing you
Theres nothing more I can say
Im still running the risk of you walking away
Im lost drowning in a sea of emotion
Ive got one simple need
I need you to feel my devotion
I dont know how far to go
Until Im gone, yeah gone
Its a complicated picture
Im all tangled up in temptation
I couldnt read the silence
That was written on your face
But here comes that feeling again
And theres nothing more I can do
I keep running the risk of losing you
Theres nothing more I can say
Im still running the risk of you walking away
Im running the risk of losing you
Im walking this tightrope
Youre my only hope
Theres nothing more I can do
I keep running the risk of losing you
Losing you
And theres nothing more I can do
I keep running the risk of losing you
Theres nothing more I can say
Im still running the risk of you walking away
Im running the risk of losing you
Im walking this tightrope
Darling, youre my only hope
Theres nothing more I can do
I keep running the risk of losing you
Im running the risk of losing you
Im telling you honey
This heart of mine cant run the risk

Desperate Love
Secret calls long after hours
Suspicions rise, why does she whisper
Someones hiding something
Whats going on
She smiles and finds an excuse to go out
Meets him somewhere on the edge of town
For one more night of real love
How can it be wrong
cause when they turn out the lights
In their rented room tonight
Two lovers wont be lonely anymore
When its a desperate love, risk is high
Cheating hearts making alibis
In the shadows someone is waiting
Waiting for their lover to come tonight
A cheaters conscience has no pride
To spend the night with another mans wife
Lie to his best friend and never think twice
He knows where to find what he longs to have
And do anything cause he wants her that bad
Love has many faces, faces to hide
cause when they turn out the lights
In their rented room tonight
Two lovers wont be lonely anymore
When its a desperate love, risk is high
Cheating hearts making alibis
In the shadows someone is waiting
Waiting for their lover to come tonight
When its a desperate love, risk is high
Cheating hearts making alibis
In the shadows someone is waiting
Waiting for their lover to come tonight
When its a desperate love (desperate love), risk is high
Cheating hearts making alibis
In the shadows someone is waiting
Waiting for their lover to come tonight
When its a desperate love (desperate love), risk is high
Cheating hearts making alibis
In the shadows someone is waiting

Risk
flowers
bloom
revealing
its inner
beauty
secrets
earth
blooms
shedding
age old secrets
women
bloom
men
bloom
slowly
but surely
everything reveals
what it really is!
risk or no risk!
Risk
And then the day came,
when the risk
to remain tight
in a bud
was more painful
than the risk
it took
to Blossom.

One World We've Been Given
Oh no I just can't sit,
Without noticing it...
That division isn't hiding,
To disguise from eyes.
One world we've been given.
On one world we're all living.
So many seem committed to being misfits.
As we all forget...
Our lives here are limited.
So many seem committed to begin conflicts.
As we all forget...
No one lives without a gift.
As we all forget...
Destroying it no one exists.
As we all forget,
There is a risk of losing this...
One world we've been given.
On one world we're all living.
Oh no I just can't sit,
Without noticing it...
One world we've been given.
On one world we're all living.
And that division isn't hiding,
To disguise from eyes.
But just one world we've been given.
And on it we sit.
So many seem committed to being misfits.
As we all forget...
Our lives here are limited.
So many seem committed to begin conflicts.
As we all forget...
No one lives without a gift.
As we all forget...
Destroying it no one exists.

Investments
Who is paying the price for the debt we rack up?
We all do.
Time is the currency of life.
Invest your time in what you want to grow.
When you invest money, you make more money.
If you invest in war, then you will have many battles.
If you invest in hatred, then hatred shall multiply.
If you invest in love then love will grow.
Every investment is a risk
If you do not risk, then you do not see your investment grow.
Nobody is broke,
But we are all broken.
You can only spend each second once.
Once it is all spent, we leave our inheritance to our children.
What do I want to leave to my children?
For the sake of themselves and their children?
If we invest in love,
We invest in our children.
We are responsible for our own bank accounts,
But also for theirs.
They will learn how to invest from us.
Love is the greatest risk.
But it offers the greatest of rewards.

Sonnet- Success Will Come
Don't lose your heart if failures come with ease;
Build up courage and try again-succeed;
Let failures not disturb your mental peace;
Delayed if mirth is sure to well exceed.
Rewards may come to some in ways unknown;
Rewards may miss the truly talented;
Rewards may make a person sometimes clown;
All flowers aren't born to be well-scented.
Though failures come, our duty we must do;
Let Nature take its time and course it must;
Results could be very untoward too;
Our human eyes cannot avoid road-dust.
The patient man will soon succeed in life;
But one knows not, how long can last one's strife.

Grave Retrospective
Possessions' progression obsession
poor more, more than best less, must draw
conclusions mistaken, impression
that wealth over health sets the score
for worth on our earth where aggression's
too often condoned by the law,
where success seems a sterile succession
of trangressions that ravage rapports.
This seems tantamount to retrogression
where blunderbuss plunder makes war
where arrogant ego expression
is excuse for abuse all abhor.
Who lusts for a trophy procession
to celebrate, victory's roar,
finds vain remains reign, dispossession,
cyclic atrophy squanders life's store.
Where vice is held virtue, concession
signals weakness, destruction in store,
where thinly disguised indiscretion
pours rewards upon traitor or whore,
where equity's lacks intercession
from power base raw's bloody maw
it is hard to ignore the suppression
of freedom, true rue rotten core.
Where equity finds no reflection
in the eyes of corrupt judge explore
when and how most lost sense of direction,
surrendered control, and deplore
political moral defection,
dereliction of duty, closed door,
or puppet string rigging election,
democracy hard to restore.
Once life's flow more than permanence counted,
Nature guided intemporal tide,
no need for race, steed to be mounted,
no seed but would blossom beside
scheme stream of unconscious connections
as each was in all, all in each, -
no need for trace, gain, greed, projections,
for constrictive force frontiers of speech.
Once no part of the whole was discounted
as second-class link in life's chain,
each link was completely accounted
as interdependent to gain
from Time time to evolve, never static,

Night Of The Swallow
The night doesnt like it.
Looks just like your face on the moon, to me.
And I wont let you do
What you want to do.
Its funny how, even now,
Youre laughing.
I wont let you do it.
If you go, Ill let the law know,
And theyll head you off when you touch the ground.
Ooh, please, dont go through with this.
I dont like the sound of it.
Its funny how, even now,
Youre miles away.
I wont let you do it.
I wont let you do it.
I wont let you go through with it.
Meet them over at dover.
Ill just pilot the motor,
Take them over the water
With a hired plane,
And no names mentioned.
Tonights the night of the flight.
Before you know,
Ill be over the water
Like a swallow.
Theres no risk.
Ill whisk them up in no moonlight.
And though pigs can fly,
Theyll never find us
Posing as the night,
And Im home before the morning.
In malta, catch a swallow,
For all of the guilty--to set them free.
Wings fill the window,
And they beat and bleed.
They hold the sky on the other side
Of borderlines.
Meet them over at dover.
Ill just pilot the motor,
Take them over the water,
Like a swallow flying to malta,
With a hired plane,
And no names mentioned.

VI. Giuseppe Caponsacchi
Answer you, Sirs? Do I understand aright?
Have patience! In this sudden smoke from hell,—
So things disguise themselves,—I cannot see
My own hand held thus broad before my face
And know it again. Answer you? Then that means
Tell over twice what I, the first time, told
Six months ago: 't was here, I do believe,
Fronting you same three in this very room,
I stood and told you: yet now no one laughs,
Who then … nay, dear my lords, but laugh you did,
As good as laugh, what in a judge we style
Laughter—no levity, nothing indecorous, lords!
Only,—I think I apprehend the mood:
There was the blameless shrug, permissible smirk,
The pen's pretence at play with the pursed mouth,
The titter stifled in the hollow palm
Which rubbed the eyebrow and caressed the nose,
When I first told my tale: they meant, you know,
"The sly one, all this we are bound believe!
"Well, he can say no other than what he says.
"We have been young, too,—come, there's greater guilt!
"Let him but decently disembroil himself,
"Scramble from out the scrape nor move the mud,—
"We solid ones may risk a finger-stretch!
And now you sit as grave, stare as aghast
As if I were a phantom: now 't is—"Friend,
"Collect yourself!"—no laughing matter more—
"Counsel the Court in this extremity,
"Tell us again!"—tell that, for telling which,
I got the jocular piece of punishment,
Was sent to lounge a little in the place
Whence now of a sudden here you summon me
To take the intelligence from just—your lips!
You, Judge Tommati, who then tittered most,—
That she I helped eight months since to escape
Her husband, was retaken by the same,
Three days ago, if I have seized your sense,—
(I being disallowed to interfere,
Meddle or make in a matter none of mine,
For you and law were guardians quite enough
O' the innocent, without a pert priest's help)—
And that he has butchered her accordingly,
As she foretold and as myself believed,—
And, so foretelling and believing so,
We were punished, both of us, the merry way:
Therefore, tell once again the tale! For what?
Pompilia is only dying while I speak!
Why does the mirth hang fire and miss the smile?
My masters, there's an old book, you should con
For strange adventures, applicable yet,

At Risk
At risk?
Those of an expressed intelligence.
And feeling it is shown,
To those known wishing to have it suppressed.
At risk...
These times not only suspected terrorists threat.
Those with a detected consciousness,
Have been witnessed to have the best affect...
Upon those who have slept.
But now have awakened.
And at risk is a conformity,
Opened eyes dare to break.
And from it willfully shakened.
With a more uplifted,
And respected patrioticness reflected.
That removes a need for greatness to be debated...
When again it is felt and not degraded.
By overrated propaganda...
At risk of being unbelieved as an achievement.

Pursuit Of Art A Courageous Step
Is the pursuit of art a courageous step?
To give up security stability of mediocrity?
To risk all for success failure court poverty?
some artists believe they choose to create art
no art chooses us possesses us enslaves us...
nothing brave in choices foolish slaves we slaves
to art without choice must risk make to create
Does the great artist risk all for cause art?
The risk is to strive to create to enter the stage?
Genesis insanity tune a finely strung bow?
genius observes enthusiasm accomplishes
passion passion births profound glorious insights
impressive talents unmotivated are sterile

Breakaway
[verse 1]
Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I'd just stare out my window
Dreamin' of what could be
And if I'd end up happy
I would pray
Trying hard to reach out
But, when I tried to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I'd pray
I could break away
[chorus]
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change
And break away
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But, I won't forget all the ones that I love
I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change
And break away
[verse 2]
Wanna feel the warm breeze
Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
Get onboard a fast train
Travel on a jetplane, far away
And break away
[chorus]
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change
And break away
Out of the darkness and into the sun
I won't forget all the ones that I love
I gotta take a risk, take a chance, make a change
And break away
[bridge]
Buildings with a hundred floors
Swinging round revolving doors
Maybe I don't know where they'll take me
But, gotta keep moving on, moving on
Fly away, break away
[chorus 2]
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
Though it's not easy to tell you goodbye, gotta
Take a risk, take a chance, make a change
And break away

Under Your Skin
Me and the snow vines quiet light
Very overlaid and seen
I watch them falling from this category
But that's the risk I take
But that's the risk I take
You said we're meant to be together
You left with someone I know
Took one bite straight from the apple
And now my love has flown
Well you said you wished you knew me
You can't have everything
For I knew I wouldn't know you
But I got under your skin
And the stars are falling cold
I smell the hail and snow
Turning cold inside his locks of hair
But that's the risk I take
But that's the risk I take
You said we're meant to be together
You left with someone I know
Took one bite straight from the apple
And now my love has flown
Well you said you wished you knew me
You can't have everything
For I knew I wouldn't know you
But I got under your skin
INSTRUMENTAL
You said we're meant to be together
You left with someone I know
Took one bite straight from the apple
And now my love has flown
Well you said you wished you knew me
You can't have everything
For I knew I wouldn't know you

Don't Risk Your Biscuits
Don't risk your biscuits.
Keep those biscuits mystic.
If they're found delicious,
Keep the people licking their lips.
Do not risk those biscuits,
For suggestions or tips.
From others who just want them to be,
Buttered and split!
When you took them out the oven,
You knew then the flavor would...
Bring joy to some.
Like no others had done.
And when they jellied up those biscuits,
With a favorite beverage...
A stirring had begun.
Making your biscuits their number one.
Do not risk those biscuits,
For suggestions or tips.
From others who just want them to be,
Buttered and split!
Eaten and enjoyed.
Making a habit of it!
You can choose and decide,
If you want them addicted!
But...
When you took them out the oven,
You knew then the flavor would...
Bring joy to some.
Like no others had done.
So...
Don't risk your biscuits.
Keep those biscuits mystic.
If they're found delicious,
Keep the people licking their lips.
Knowing only you,
Can do these biscuits like this!

Lazy In Aruba
Life once had us running to the bank.
Banking on the prospect,
That investments in a future...
Would produce security.
Security fantasized,
To feed those whims and needs...
Afforded to please.
We believed that banking,
Was then a safe direction...
For a quality of life,
Respected to protect..
In quality ease!
If this was yesterday...
It would be okay,
To think about Aruba...
And snoozing on the beach.
If 'this' was yesterday...
We'd put our dimes away.
But unlike those yesterdays...
Today pinching dimes,
Gets rent timely paid!
If this was yesterday,
It would be okay...
To think about Aruba!
Just to snooze on the beach.
And...
Oiling heated skin,
Rubbing sand off our feet.
If 'this' was yesterday...
We'd put our dimes away.
But unlike those yesterdays...
A rent that's needed to be paid,
Is just a pinch away.
And today Aruba,
Is for many out of reach.
Because today Aruba,
Is a dream hard to keep!
If this was yesterday,
It would be okay...
To think about Aruba!
Just to snooze on the beach.

What's The Need To Save For A Rainy Day?
What's the need to save for a rainy day?
Or keep good dishes to look at,
And never use.
Just to look at...
And never ever use.
To collect good stuff that has never been touched?
Makes little sense when no one visits much,
To appreciate what's valued but does collect dust.
And when those gold trimmed cups begin to rust up,
Who then would wish to sip...
From a cup used that could be chipped on their visit?
I would rather lick tea from a bowl if I knew this.
Whoever got a benefit without a taking of a risk?
Whoever took a risk and not received a benefit?
Just to look at and to never use 'something'...
Like a covering of chairs to plastic wrap,
Who can sit comfortably on top of that?
To look at and to never use 'something'!
What is the risk?
Where's the benefit in this?
What's the need to save for a rainy day?
Or keep good dishes to look at...
And never be used.
Just to look at and to never use 'something'...
Like a covering of chairs to plastic wrap,
Who can sit comfortably on top of that?
Or keep good dishes never touched.
And all they do is collect dust.
What's the need to save for a rainy day?

Absurd Breast Cancer Prevention
“Surgical removal of the breasts before any sign
of cancer is one way to significantly lower the risk.”
Journal of Clinical Oncology, March 15,2005
'Changing Your Lifestyle Can Change Your Genes...
genes are not your destiny', Dean Ornish, M.D.,
Newsweek, June 17,2008
She is scared to death, so what is the answer?
Tell me doctor, please, advise her while she is healthy,
For she is statistically at a high risk of becoming ill
And afraid to contract the dreadful breast cancer.
Cut her healthy breasts, remove all hale tissue,
The good surgeon tells her, with assurance insists
That the operation solves the problem, reduces the risk
To zero, and so cancer is no longer the issue.
But the injudicious medical counsel fails to inform her
That as a life style scourge cancer can be prevented better,
And anyway, removing the breasts does not really matter
Because the disease may strike the body elsewhere.
This brutal cure is absurd, like the act of one afraid of steps,
A person at a high risk of fractures who avoids walking
And in a Kafkaesque way opts to amputate the limbs
In order to prevent the breaking of the legs.

A Fable For Critics
Phoebus, sitting one day in a laurel-tree's shade,
Was reminded of Daphne, of whom it was made,
For the god being one day too warm in his wooing,
She took to the tree to escape his pursuing;
Be the cause what it might, from his offers she shrunk,
And, Ginevra-like, shut herself up in a trunk;
And, though 'twas a step into which he had driven her,
He somehow or other had never forgiven her;
Her memory he nursed as a kind of a tonic,
Something bitter to chew when he'd play the Byronic,
And I can't count the obstinate nymphs that he brought over
By a strange kind of smile he put on when he thought of her.
'My case is like Dido's,' he sometimes remarked;
'When I last saw my love, she was fairly embarked
In a laurel, as _she_ thought-but (ah, how Fate mocks!)
She has found it by this time a very bad box;
Let hunters from me take this saw when they need it,-
You're not always sure of your game when you've treed it.
Just conceive such a change taking place in one's mistress!
What romance would be left?-who can flatter or kiss trees?
And, for mercy's sake, how could one keep up a dialogue
With a dull wooden thing that will live and will die a log,-
Not to say that the thought would forever intrude
That you've less chance to win her the more she is wood?
Ah! it went to my heart, and the memory still grieves,
To see those loved graces all taking their leaves;
Those charms beyond speech, so enchanting but now,
As they left me forever, each making its bough!
If her tongue _had_ a tang sometimes more than was right,
Her new bark is worse than ten times her old bite.'
Now, Daphne-before she was happily treeified-
Over all other blossoms the lily had deified,
And when she expected the god on a visit
('Twas before he had made his intentions explicit),
Some buds she arranged with a vast deal of care,
To look as if artlessly twined in her hair,
Where they seemed, as he said, when he paid his addresses,
Like the day breaking through, the long night of her tresses;
So whenever he wished to be quite irresistible,
Like a man with eight trumps in his hand at a whist-table
(I feared me at first that the rhyme was untwistable,
Though I might have lugged in an allusion to Cristabel),-
He would take up a lily, and gloomily look in it,
As I shall at the--, when they cut up my book in it.
Well, here, after all the bad rhyme I've been spinning,
I've got back at last to my story's beginning:
Sitting there, as I say, in the shade of his mistress,
As dull as a volume of old Chester mysteries,
