You are You
You want to know your own name
Looking into my eyes, a simple question you ask
Though I know I’m all open to you
Then why do I live beyond this mask?
Your indifference creates the distance
I can’t confess that You are You
My love exists in every fragment
In every moment that you live it through
You ask me the name of the girl
Though in every beat of my heart you reside
Why can’t you guess your own name?
When my every pain you tend to subside
You are a part of my every dream
Still you have a doubt that You are You
The face that’s engraved in my mind
That’s the face I wish I drew
I know I haven’t told you anything
But can’t you still read my eyes?
Is it so difficult for you to understand?
The love that makes me rise
In a state of trance when I hear your voice
It’s crystal pure like morning dew
I tend to absorb my every breath
How to tell that You are You?
The only fear that I have
I may lose a dearest friend
I know the time is not best for you
So I avoid the emotional trend
The pain in me and so the void
I would die if I have to bid adieu
Just come and hold my hand for ever
Look into my eyes and say that YOU are YOU.
