Cool as rain on a dry summer day
Beautifully as the rainbow bridges the sky away

Fragrant as a pot of tea simmering
Soulful as a guitar strumming

Innocent as a child’s smile
Blissful as the cottony sky

Like spring you entered, as a pleasant twist
Refreshing as the early morning “Mist”

I never thought this day would come
When I would “Blossom” under the sun

From being dull and prickly
I bloomed into a morning glory

I felt alive and lost all the pain
Like daffodils I dance in the rain

Your love gave me a new leash of strength
As unexpected as a hidden treasure chest
