Treasure Is An Island
Pyramid on the mountain, three windmills on the bay
School of thought nestled amongst olive trees, sailing boats at play
Voices echo down gentle slopes, clock chimes nine at night
The sun has yet to set, red clouds promise new delight
Ulysses still walks on paradise, neglect has married time
Still blue water, eight skipping stones, the record held is mine
Beauty smiles, they remember her, her laughter is contagious
We share a look, a touch, a meal, her three sons born to save us
Treasure is an island, a jewel on the sea
Summer months of pleasure, Ionian odyssey
Lying naked in the sun, like Katsakouli kids
Tourists come to taste her fruits, some they never leave
All take away a piece of her, all need the gift she gives
Scrapbook memories swim carefree, summer romance by the sea
always you and me
Scrapbook memories heroic thoughts, pleasure and good company
Swimming carefree, loving life, scrapbook memories summer romance, lasting friends
A round of coffees with new found friends
Shimmer, shimmer, breeze caress the water
Silent notes rise up and spread, their souls around the world
Treasure is an island, a jewel on the sea
Summer months of pleasure, Ionian odyssey
