Today I Have Wings
I stand on the edge
looking down
I feel the wind on my face
it blows across my body
Today I have wings
today is the day I am going to fly
No more looking back
no more regrets
I hold my head up high
today’s my day
I lean forward I feel the wind beneath my wings
it lifts me up I'm soaring ever higher
I don’t ever want to come back down
The wind caresses my skin
and whispers in my ear
never again child will you have to feel the pain
for today you have wings
