This is a dreadful night

This is a dreadful night, tonight
though the moon is still there
amid the stars,
trees are nodding slowly
leaves of Neem tree
are still shining
but i am not missing home tonight[so]
this is a dreadful night tonight
yes, i had been missing home,
as a small boy of a boarding school,
that time through whole winter nights,
with my closed but awaking eyes,
with a tear-soaked pillow
i missed home
but this is a dreadful night, tonight
when i am not missing the home
like ever since
ways to the home are covered
with darkness,
the air has lost the
sound of togetherness
the roof have lost it's shades,
this is a dreadful night tonight.
