The Paperback Years
A friendship has been formed
Throughout these past three years
We have come together
To overcome our fears
The future is upon us
High school is coming fast
Mature is what we need to be
For the jobs we have been cast
Turn in our school books
Weathered and torn from use
We give them sad looks
From all the locker abuse
We’ll have to part our ways
And say our last goodbye
Will we meet another day?
Or watch as the years go by
Gather our belongings
Zip up our backpacks too
Look back on our school
And realize how much we grew
