all the cards have been dealt
and your heart is now a black hole
you wait and wait for that one moment
the one they say takes your breath away
and when he has finally shown it
and you think its here to stay
The day you were swept off your feet
The day you were saved from despair
that day your heart struck a beat
He makes it disappear
but now you are in too deep
and all you can do is stare
it must all just be a dream
when you finally dared
to go for something that was so unclear
he said 'we will always be together'
but you fall back into despair
and you think back when he said forever
Even though he gave you the best happiness in the world
He also gave you the greatest sadness that has ever been known
