Solitary Night
Spending time with one of the spirits tonight.
Feeling the solitude of the night.
Together with the loneliness it brings,
Of no one to talk to at this,
Time of the night.
Oh how I feel the emptiness.
Missing the company of my friends,
At this time of the night.
Spending time with one of the spirits,
While talking about idealistic things.
Longing for their company.
The communication and argumentation,
That this kind of night brings.
Academical, social, political and practical
Subjects we do enjoy discussing about
On a night of peace and solitude.
Like this night of peace and quiet,
I long for my true friends' company.
On a night where the spirits flow,
Freely and happily.
With good country, jazz, blues and rock
Music playing on the air.
Sharing smiles and laughter at one another,
Until the dawn comes knocking down on the door.
