Smiles From The Pococurante Abomination

The rain pouring so softly on the casket, behind the cemetery mist
Hides reconciliation, never before have the dead seemed more alive,
Yet the living continue to walk down an empty road, being watched
And judged by the soulless eagles.

Mourning the loss of comprehension, wisdom lies within the minds of
The insane, I could not help but spit on the very idea of human existence,
How bizarre it is that a ghost could long for death so desperately,
Aspiring for the nightmare to end, the revenant continues to pray in solitude.

Nothing but the thickest blackness, every puzzle will reveal some
Message, the answer fell before your eyes so long ago but it was drenched
In disappointment, you surround yourself in your own denial until it
Drowns you and peels the pale flesh from your corpse.

Utter loss of hope and humanity, I should not bother with dragging
Myself through life like a blind, wounded snake anymore, faith
Consumed by desolation, in this darkness I see one shining door
But it leads only to eternal misery, until it burns me into absolute nothingness.
