Romance With The Darkness

In the dark
feeling the cold breaking sweats
feeling the pain and the numbness
feeling the madness and the suffering

Mind that refuses to shutdown
Body ready to give in
from the intimacy with the dark last night
hiding and masking unknown intentions
swearing never again
when the smokes disappear
the romance lingers

Yes causing destruction from within
stashing the insecurity
waiting to lead a life on the edge
with or with out hopes and dreams?
yes its the easy way out....
yes it shall remain as a sweet one night stand

Convicted with vision
Masking in the name of dark side
in the name of expression
the need to be rebellious
the need to be isolated and connected
the need to feel the pain
but mostly the need to let go and forget
from any sense of belongings

What is it about the tortured soul and ruined
that appeals to actors, musician, writers
for many masterpiece to be based on
is there a substituted even....
for this black charm
Dont we all fall for the bad boys always

Where does it come from this feeling
this dark side which exist in all
This romance which takes many forms
demure in some but flames others
why does it feel right
when it is so wrong?
the worst first hand experience
still doesn't stop the need
is it in the blood?
is it part of this existence?
will it ever end?
This romance with the darkness

The light cant be denied
as brightness will creep in
as life unfold new meaning
when night ends
too much beauty rises
Its time to let go
to be left in the dark, consumed with this endless romance
