Old Man Time

The first shades appear noticed
Obvious as the sun and the moon
High above the grounds of the earth
Nature taking effect at its worst
Alas once upon a time twas a blessing

I know it will never be the same
For now I am a changed man
Realizing wasted opportunities
Bereft of the youth stolen away
As predicted by old man time

Feeling everything slowly slip away
thinking of memories that never was
for all those that are remaining
eventually they will be lost forever
lost like the ballad of old bards
