Midnight Walk
Dusty,
Dust roads,
Chimney dark
Smoke,
Slivers of moonlight,
Shadows of hip
Hop toads,
And plop,
Plopping
Fish-ringed
Water ponds.
Flashes of light,
Shudders of
Thunder-Pounded
Sky,
Gusts of
Wind-blown wind,
Wolf-dog’s howl,
Screech-cat’s cry,
Heartbeat’s beat,
And rain
Rained street.
