Laughter Charmer
In memory of my niece whose laughter was never to cease
And I say we are alike, light-headed, because we've taken to laughter.
When laughter last in the household heard
The light went off your eyes
Killed by a whippersnipper obsessed with cars.
After I heard of your death
I felt alive
Because once more in my life
I could cry.
And wished I could've taken
Your place
But these words are all
I could've taken to.
