Kick to the Chest

My heart decided to call in sick today
It said it was a little broken, with a footprint shaped bruise on it
The liver inside me is ready to quit
If I keep drinking like this
My brain cant figure out what’s causing this pain
Loves the suspect
And these emotions are accused of being accomplices
So I went to the doctor
He said ill be okay and just to take these pills
Clear my head of that girl hopefully the pain will go away
A couple days went by
Everything was going okay
I saw her smile from a distance
Her eyes caught mine
It felt like a kick to the chest
Then my heart decided to call in sick again
