In My Corner
we all have our moments
where we shut ourselves out
and crawl into the darkest corner
seeking isolation
and escape
longing for a way to be free
but too afraid
and locked up
to get there
I find it comfortable
in my sadness
the darkness my only friend
familiar
like I belong there
