Heartbreak Warfare

funny how life can trade places
twisted fate and broken roads
funny how life can spoonfeed
the bitterness of your deeds
in the past and rub it on your
path and show the wrath of
your ubiquity and deviousness

i gave you roses
but all i get are thorns and
sharp edged leaves
leaving me bleeding and open
vulnerable for any possible
attack of being down and broken
another lesson to learn
the scarcity of love and hate
here comes the game

every step i take
outside my door
leaves a crack in my wounded soul
i don't know if i should still tender
this plant that needs to grow
or should i just let it willow
let it falter
should i let the flower miss the season
to bloom
time passes by slowly
the growth seems like an endless passage
of sorrow

i love the rain
it covers the pain
that runs through my eyes
i can hide my broken heart
under the thunder
i can see a glimpse of light
in the middle of the storm
i don't know how long can i last

now i understand
in every hero
lies a brokenheart
a lifetime of warfare and rage
engaged in wrath and agony
where do i begin
when will the loop end
the ball is in my court
but not to shoot
it hit me so hard.
life hit me so hard.
