Goner Girl

July early day as the sun greets the morning,
in an old rusted Ford swamped with dew,
after all of my reaching to catch the young bird,
I held her, then southward she flew.

Entwined are the roads of our past,
endowed are the roads we must see,
a love with the strength of the howling warm winds,
... perhaps never destined to be.

July early early day stopped that life,
embracing as not to release,
as both went their ways in the search of the dream,
with fond memories and wishes of peace.
