Genocide No More
The morrow, the morrow, the morrow
But what comes tomorrow
Too much to be coped
Not true it is hoped
Could there be more madness
Would there be more sadness
Lest there be more gore
And death to hail more
Oh why, oh why, oh why
Hast so many to die
The reason not their fault
Their futures put on halt
It shouldn’t have been so
Innocents have such foes
Longed are moments of Grace
Let not lives be erased
Cry out, cry out, cry out
The ghosts they do shout
The wronged be avenged
Righteousness on hinge
Merciful concessions
For the just life lessons
Beyond ends of the crowd
Compassion be allowed
Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye
These words beg of thee
Trying hard not to preach
Let all hearts be reached
For when hatred rules
The results just so cruel
Neither out nor in
The adverse hath no friend
Can there, can there, can there
Ever come to world heirs
A future certainty
Even for you and for me
Alas, let it be true
Before life is through
Let not genocides repeat
Against evil defeat
Dedicated to those in the world who care enough to make a stance in ridding the world of future evils of Genocide.
