its a no contact sport
eyes only caress

a strangely place intonation
possibly a phrase that
could be taken either way
these are common
to both sexes

a woman
has her ways
to frustrate
tease
cause malaise
in the work day
dangling swaying
her shoe from the foot
a shoulder almost but
not quite out of place
a rub of her neck before
she answers the question
looking over her shoulder
at her intended
come hither look
to make him smolder
raising her arms
to fix her hair
she knows what she raises
when she goes there

the fellas have
their own style
I must just smile
they lean in
play with their tie
eyes fixed, wide smile
I know they do not like
replacing the copy toner
but for some reason
this gives them a
reason to speak
of their latest
soccer conquest
give a remark in jest
thump their
hand on their chest

If it gets too much
a toss of the hair
your outta there
no harm no foul
he will settle down
he does not
have your number,
or does he?
