Fading whispers
The sadness of our thoughts
an unrecognizable pain
it surges through our blood
twice now has the conclusion eluded us
no longer will we wait
every step taken, is taken earnestly
for the world doesn't wait for us
and we have no patience for the world.
Erratic decisions bring grand adventures
this adventure will be the grandest yet
filled with love and loss
but no loss as great as what's to come
the loss of hope and strength.
These perilous times call for you to trust more than ever
we'll break the bonds of our captors
and relinquish our fears
in the end we'll fall victim to the same fate.
Time's our last enemy
an unconquered foe
untamed and wild
like the wind that blows and howls
wearing down our skin to dust
rest now, sleep.
Just remember our last actions
desperate to live
and living to die
we held the kingdom for just a short time
the kingdom of life
now forfeit, as we say good bye.
