stubbled with a wry smile
darkened character lays smudged
a charcoal embrace of humanity
burnt offerings?
run..yes..run
legs no longer capable
touched with a Pharoah's kiss
aorta turns to sand
a glass sun shines
magnifying the illusion
brittle warmth falls
upon Mother's broken back
death throes of a planet
resonate as we rape
visceral spillage erupts
as corporations corrupt
empires come and gone
a self-indulgent throng
consuming it's own swansong
trumpeting in the final furlong
the glass orb shatters
as particle matters
rains down shards
pitter patter
the end of the rape
civilizations agape
skies shine opaque
death throe of the ape
