Dark Faery on Halloween
I clothe myself in darkness
I picked blackness for its starkness
And many a spidery metaphor
Being mysterious isn't a chore
When I embody night
The only color is my face
Flaming billows of hair keeping pace
With screams and whispers calling ''scary''
Watch your back, do be wary
I can give a fright
Expression is everything
Making scary spirit sing
With a stare cold as space
Freezing you into your place
Turn out the light
Halloween, the holiday
Of things that scream and things that play
And of course, things that scare
Give you chills beyond compare
Halloween, take flight
