An elegy.
There is so much I should have known,
Ere the days into the past have flown.
I was then young, and sweet,
All I knew then was your palsied feet!
Today I am here, with the will and brawn,
To know everything, I am drawn.
There's no souvenir, no sepulture,
To weep for the love you so nurture!
There's so much that went unseen,
Death made us both blind and mean.
Alive, you shared all that was sorrow,
And I am left, with a memory vague for the morrow.
I know you sit at His feet, both smiling from above,
I'd be there one day, watch me with love.....
