A Song For My Funeral
A Song For My Funeral
when they buried him
a young boy
in a cardboard box
somewhere in the green mountain
there was a song nobody knew
there was a song
unknown and unsung
I know the song
it has been silent for many years
buried in an unmarked grave
a dead boy does not age
I shall be writing the song
for my funeral to come
it will be there
for you to sing
wherever you are
