Her Name was Daisy
On Mother's Day I can only reminisce emotions
finally settle in the heart's abyss.
A beautiful person made for a beautiful name.
Mom, best friend, confidant one in the same.
She believed in the Almighty lived her life holy.
In my mind deserves all the praise and glory.
There for me in my urgent time of need.
Teacher to this day still my conscience heeds.
She was sweet, genuine and generous to a fault.
She was down to earth the flower, the seed, the salt.
Fresh from her bangs she encored happiness.
Faithfully crept beside her was peacefulness.
She was a steady support system throughout the years.
Loved her family dearly on blood, soul and tears.
She had a fee good smile and showed her pride.
Involved in every aspect of my life's adolescent ride.
Wore the badges of honor in her story of humanity.
