Death Of A Girl

A girl has died today,
but he is born anew.
And she will never come again.
Though he, has been given a curse.

He changed his body,
become himself,
the outside now matches the in.
But for what cost does this reside,

he's lost his family and his friends.
Though she had plenty and many more,
he threatens to meet his ends.
Her friends were hers, never be his...

She hated her body and begged for death.
He has only complied.
She has taken her final breath,
Given to the boy inside.

But anyone could see this coming,
the loss was not a surprise.
He just wanted more accepting,
from the family who's left him behind.

He struggles each and every day,
more of a battle each waking.
He can't turn back, can never say
why he begs for the same.

No one can help, he pushes and kicks
everyone away.
He fears their jests and awful tricks,
protecting his mind in vain.

Because, you see, it's over now.
His journey's over and done.
The greatness that she would once endow,
all been lost to become a son.
