Hannah,
I remember your wild, hazel eyes
Iridescently ignited all those
Sweltering summer nights.
I saw happiness in you
And you saw happiness in ev'rything.
Hannah,
I remember your wind tattered hair
As it blew back and forth
In the breeze, swiftly swaying
By the rhythm of the swing set
In my back yard where we'd play.
Hannah,
I remember your small, slender frame
And the mousy laugh that would emanate from it.
I remember how your skin soaked up sun beams,
Leaving you golden,
Glowing like the fireflies we'd catch.
Hannah,
I remember all the time we spent together
Pretending we were somewhere else,
But content with being where we were.
We didn't worry about the future
Or that we'd ever be apart.
Hannah,
I remember you.
I remember how innocent and beautiful things were.
I wish we could go back there.
Hannah,
Do you remember me?
