Know Or Not
They say it’s better to have loved then never loved at all
But if you never loved then you would never have a broken heart
You wouldn’t feel like you’re dying and being ripped apart from the inside out
Because how can you miss something you never had
Then again you wouldn’t know pure joy
The excitement a simple touch can bring
Or what it means to truly be free and fly
So as I sit and ask myself which is truly better
Memories that won’t seem to die flash before my eyes
My head whispers to never know
But my heart cries out love is worth the constant torture
