Fool Me Once
From my little corner of the world...
I sit silently listening and reading...!
Can't help but wonder though--
Can't believe what i am seeing;
Reflecting now of how i was so obviously taken in--
Wondering now if you did that to me too...?
You know-praised me and then stabbed me in the back?
Wonder what THEY would say...?
If THEY only knew what you had said to me about THEM?
So much treachery...
So much betrayal...
And way too much naitivity on OUR part...
THEY say that there is a fool born every minute--
And i am ashamed to say that i am one of them...!
Oh, don't worry i won't RAT on you!
As that would put me in the same 'Cat' agory as you---
And that my dear is no place to be! ;
