Yep, it's THANKSGIVING
and I'm the bird of choice
Something stuck in your throat
or did you lose your voice

This is a special day
for male birds of all kind
Are you reaching for somethin
or have you gone blind

Yep, football on TV
beer being cuddled by ice
You in the kitchen
the aroma is so nice

Now you do remember
the guys will be here soon
They won't make a mess
look at the clock, nearly noon

I can tell by that look
you're not a happy mate
Now, I will say I Love you
although I feel it's to late

If you will only pause
and allow me to say
THANKSGIVING without you
would simply be, just another day

Now this poem is in jest
and we should all take the time
Let's be thankful for what we have
you hug yours and I shall hug mine
