The Unlikely Penitence
Points had to be impressed upon,
proven and put to test
Oblivious you may have seemed
but the results were manifest
No one were permitted perspectives,
but your own standpoint
Dammed most associations
lest some proffered a counterpoint
What good is penitence
after inflicted damage has been made
Too late is to darn the fabric
which with time has since frayed
All your vain assumptions
had no substance whatsoever at all
Your adamant kind of convictions will
play truant in need of recall
