'Adieu' my dear friend
as I feel inconsolably forlorn
The loss has been personal,
secluded I stand and mourn
Never could have imagined
the hasty exit you would opt
Denying me those measures
for your tending I would adopt
Only so much was possible,
that one could have done
It was fate reminding of fallibility,
from which above is none
I deemed I lacked emotions
till your loss shook me about
Strong may so feel but your sudden exit
I could have done without
In your fond remembrance
some couplets from past I quote
Where I sum up our time together
and in true earnest I emote
'Kin you did leave behind
to join me in my fold
Adjusted to my lifestyle
and adapted to my mold
Rebuked if I ever,
for some impish deed you had done
You returned with fond affection
and nursing grudge none
Treated me as your master,
a parent and a friend
With absolute fidelity,
that I could forever depend'
