I wasn't sure what was around the corner
In fact my head was up there on high
Never had I seen it all coming
But one day I suddenly opened my eyes
Life Passes Us By All Too Soon-
Hand in hand we both walked along
Your smile meant everything to me
How I recall all those years we spent
And now I'm left to only believe

I never gave it much a thought I admit
Like a child I never gave it much care
One day that all finally changed
When I turned for you and you wasn't there

So now I think back to those days gone
As I walk alone and think of you
Forget you never this is what I feel
But life has shown me something new
