Sylvan Scene
Crunching through snow,
High Arizona plateau;
Mt. Humphreys as backdrop,
Aspen forest,
I see a cabin church,
Crude thing,
A cross in perspective set
On the highest peaks behind.
So inside I went,
To the warmth,
To the candle glow:
It almost made a Christian out of me,
(Like 2 Mahler) :
Fond memory.
