Smile
Like the beautiful pink lotus
that blooms in the lake
Hides the weeds with
its blanket of fragnance.
Like the white soft snow
that falls during winter
Covers the bare ground
with its coat of ice.
A smile on the face
hides the sadness of life
From the eyes that stare
for a glimpse of your face.
