THE DAYS THE YEARS GO BY
The days the years go by
We love who we love-
Our children are more to us
Than we are to ourselves-
With them we know a kind of happiness
We can know nowhere else -
All the love of the years
All the happiness in being with them-
A gift of God to us
Perhaps the greatest gift of all.
