A day of heartbreak
A simple statement
Just a few words long
Cut like a knife
And now everything's wrong
It started with a deep breath
The words then followed
Made shattered dreams
Now everything's hollowed
She kept it in
The pain, heartache and fears
Rest her head and prayed
Tomorrow there would be no tears
Soon the sun rose
Bringing a new day
Smiling
She locked her fears away
Keeping busy
Pushing out the thought
Watching the clock
Waiting to see what time brought
Hours passed by
Time will soon tell
Has her heart grown stronger
And out of love fell
The clock has struck
And so it seems
She's out of luck
And weak
Not a word was sent
Not a word was heard
Staring at his name
Her eyes teared
Pushing through her dark cloud
Setting aside fears
Needing to hear his voice
Wiping away tears
With a simple 'hi'
Relief washed over her
With a sigh
Her pain fades away
After a day of uncertainty
Heartache & pain
Still in love it seems
With no disdain
