My Original Sin
It was always about me, although I did not see.
My thoughts, my feelings, my pleasure, my comfort, my life.
No room for others when I was so full of myself.
I would devour them with my prideful and lustful thinking.
Life before me, was a mirror image.
A mirror that displayed my surface.
An agenda for everything.
Mine.
I was a motivational speaker.
I would hear only the words from my presentation.
For your listening enjoyment.
How could I make your life better?
By having you conform to mine.
Become an extension of me.
You won’t regret it.
But I will.
