Extrinsic Addiction
My extrinsic addiction,
My intrinsic affliction.
Everything for the reward.
Money and matter are my Lord.
What's fake is seen
What's real unseen.
Makes me feel unclean.
Unpure, I am obscured.
Became too weak.
Now the truth I seek.
Lies I sought.
Untruths I bought.
They cost me my soul.
Lost all control.
They took their toll.
Spiral down the hole.
Til' I hit bottom.
No longer pursuing lies.
My addiction it dies.
Slowly I rise.
Replaced by a light,
For which I will fight.
I won't go quietly onto the night.
Now patient and kind.
The truth I did find.
God is my spirit.
The devil, my mind.
