Star spotting

Kings Cross / St Pancras,
the train draws in
as passengers stand ready
to disembark.

I sit still, waiting,
bored with the rush
my naked eyelids still heavy
from sleep.

Stepping down
to platform five
I spot Ronnie Corbett,
I think.

He's in front
in a grey Mac'
and stops at the café door
to let me in.

I say thank you
politely with a grin
then, its goodbye to me
and it's goodbye from him.
