The Denial Of A Health Problem
tomorrow when we meet again
i will take off my clothes and show you
the tightness of my chest
my arms flexed
my fingers crossed
i'll show you a hundred push-ups
a set of sit-ups
i will do an hour of aerobics
a dance and a jumping jack
you will think that i am healthy
less the tumors and their sealed lips
i am not telling myself that someone is dying.
